Former President Donald J. Trump was once again been indicted on some BS charges, this time in Georgia for allegedly trying to corrupt the 2020 election. Ironically, in charging Trump with this, the Georgia DA has opened up a Trump defense that the election was corrupted. In fact, Trump says he has all the receipts to prove that the election in Georgia was rigged.
The NY Post reports on the latest bogus charges against Trump:
Former President Donald Trump and 18 of his allies and supporters were indicted Monday by a Georgia grand jury in connection with his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in the Peach State.
Also charged in the indictment — which was signed by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney shortly before 9 p.m. and unsealed approximately two hours later — were former Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis and Kenneth Chesebro.
Also accused were former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, ex-Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark and Trump 2020 Election Day director of operations Michael Roman.
Trump, 77, faces 13 counts in the case, matching a docket prematurely posted to the Fulton County Superior Court’s website around noon.
Yeah, while the grand jury was still in session, they posted the indictments against Trump before there were any indictments. Sounds a little fishy, but smells a lot more like bullshit.
Basically, Trump and the codefendants are being charged under the RICO Act, as an organized crime syndicate, which is as hilariously stupid as it sounds. One of the charges, however, is what will undo the entire case. Georgia has charged Trump with making false statements that there was voter fraud in the 2020 election. All Trump needs to do is prove that there was voter fraud, which there was and has been well-documented.
And speaking of proof, Trump cranked up the Truth Social machine and put out this:
In the J6 indictments against Trump, he was charged with lying that there was election fraud. Both in that case and this, he will get a chance to prove in a court of law that there was indeed all kinds fraud going on. These liberal prosecutors are absolute idiots to give a legal platform to exposing the left’s election theft scheme.
If you are keeping track at home, Donald Trump has now been indicted on 91 charges in the past four and half months. If convicted, he faces up to 713 years in prison. Going after a political opponent like this is something Stalin or Hitler would do, but here is Joe Biden and his corrupt network, attempting it in the United States of America.
Here’s the other really dumb thing on the part of the prosecutors: what if they end up with zero convictions? There’s a very real possibility that not one of these bullshit charges are going to stick and people are going to realize that they were politically motivated.
All of the trials are supposed to play out before the 2024 election, and exoneration will only propel Trump back into the White House. Since the purpose of all the bogus charges is to keep Trump from winning back the presidency, this effort against him is completely counterproductive.
