The communists/globlists have unleashed an unprecedented wave of legal attacks against President Trump. Desperate to knock him out of the 2024 race, they are using lawfare as their weapon of choice.
This from thepatriotjournal.com.
The so-called “justice” system has been hijacked for political gain, all in an attempt to prevent Trump from returning to the White House. But their endless indictments and frivolous charges aren’t fooling anyone. Americans see this for what it is:
[A] political hit job disguised as legal action.
And this is merely the latest in a series of bogus cases. The Left knows they cannot beat Trump at the ballot box, so they’re trying to bog him down in the courts. Nothing short of a corrupt scheme to manipulate the system, the irony is so thick it drips.
Lawfare won’t stop the Trump Train.
Despite their best efforts, President Trump continues to dominate the polls, with his base more fired up than ever. Seeing his chances fade, “Special Council” Jack Smith—who was rebuked by the Supreme Court himself—rushed a new indictment against Trump. But, a federal judge has since returned the bad news.
From Fox News:
Federal Judge Tanya Chutkan will not hold the trial for President Trump on charges stemming from Special Counsel Jack Smith’s Jan. 6 investigation until after the 2024 presidential election…
In an order Thursday afternoon, Chutkan set deadlines for replies and paperwork from federal prosecutors and Trump’s legal team for Nov. 7—after Election Day.
Trump did not appear in court Thursday. His lawyers pleaded not guilty on his behalf. Smith was in court Thursday morning.
In the latest chapter of this political drama, federal Judge Tanya Chutkan has decided to push Trump’s trial over Special Counsel Jack Smith’s January 6 investigation until after the 2024 presidential election. Convenient, right? Chutkan, presiding in the U.S. District Court for D.C., set deadlines for legal filings that extend well past Election Day. Essentially, Trump’s legal team and federal prosecutors will not be submitting key paperwork until November 7—long after voters have cast their ballots.
Trump did not attend the court hearing last Thursday, with his legal team entering a not guilty plea on his behalf. Jack Smith, on the other hand, made an appearance, overseeing the prosecution’s latest attempt to accuse Trump of trying to overturn the 2020 election results. It’s all part of the broader narrative the left keeps pushing—anything to distract from their failures.
Smith has reworked his indictment, narrowing its scope after the Supreme Court ruled that a president is immune from prosecution for official acts while in office. The new charges still focus on the same tired allegations: that Trump tried to pressure former Vice President Mike Pence into rejecting electoral votes and enlisted slates of “fake electors” to back his supposed victory.
However, there’s a catch. This updated indictment has dropped accusations that Trump tried to use the Justice Department to overturn the election—something even the Supreme Court found to be out of bounds for prosecution. The remaining charges, including conspiracy to defraud the United States and obstructing official proceedings, remain part of the case. But with the legal calendar dragging on, it’s highly unlikely this trial will go anywhere before November.
Smith’s office insists the new grand jury only heard fresh evidence related to the updated indictment, a clear sign that the case is anything but airtight. And with the trial now delayed until after the election, one has to wonder—if they were so confident in their case, why not fast-track it?
This is not about justice. It is about politics. But no matter how many times they try to tear Trump down, he keeps coming back stronger. The Left may be playing dirty, but Trump’s supporters are ready to fight back at the polls.
