Since The Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos blocked an endorsement of Comrade Kamala for president, more than 200,000 people have canceled their digital subscriptions to the outlet.
This makes up for 8% of the paper’s paid circulation of roughly 2.5 million subscribers, and the number of cancellations is continuing to grow.

Bezos, however, is refusing to back down. Instead, he’s eager to make some changes at The Post that will ideally make it a more balanced publication.
From The New York Post:
Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos has reportedly given the newspaper a mandate to add more conservative voices to its opinion section—even as he remains silent over the broadsheet’s decision not to endorse a candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
Bezos—the world’s second richest person with a fortune that Bloomberg Billionaires Index valued at $211 billion as of Monday—is keen on gaining a more ideologically diverse readership by expanding his newspaper’s reach among right-leaning audiences, according to a report in The New York Times.
Bezos still has yet to speak publicly about this situation. Behind the scenes, however, it seems he has some big plans for The Washington Post.
This comes after Bezos brought in ex-Wall Street Journal boss Will Lewis as his chief executive officer. Lewis has since claimed that it was his decision, rather than Bezos’, to block the Harris endorsement. Lewis stood by this choice, arguing:
[It is] consistent with the values the Post has always stood for.
He added that it reflected the paper’s faith:
[In] our readers’ ability to make up their own minds.
Is this a refreshing change or what?
Lewis went on to say:
[Not endorsing Harris is] consistent with the values the Post has always stood for and what we hope for in a leader: character and courage in service to the American ethic, veneration for the rule of law, and respect for human freedom in all its aspects.
The Washington Post has long been known as one of the most liberal publications out there. This is saying quite a lot, given how many media publications have been taken over by leftists.
Some have speculated that this move from The Post could indicate that Trump could be closer to victory than the left would have the public believe.
Robert Kagan, a former member of The Post’s opinions section who resigned in protest, said:
This is obviously an effort by Jeff Bezos to curry favor with Donald Trump in the anticipation of his possible victory.
In all actuality, there is no reason any publication like should endorse a presidential candidate. The media has become so biased in favor of the Left that they have ruined their own credibility.
The backlash that The Post is receiving serves as a reminder of just how hateful and deranged the liberal mob really is.
Liberals do not want a publication that is fair and balanced. Instead, they want one that will reinforce their own illogical beliefs. In the end, Bezos could be making a smart decision long-term in moving his publication to the center.
UPDATE: USA Today Takes a Stand by Sitting Out
Joining the likes of The Washington Post and LA Times, USA Today—the fourth largest paper in the U.S.—has also chosen to withhold its endorsement of Harris. This choice is especially noticeable since USA Today broke with a 40-year tradition in 2020 by endorsing Joe Biden, citing what they called an ‘existential threat’ posed by a second Trump term. Yet in 2024, they seem less concerned with any so-called threat and more intent on steering clear of the Harris ticket.
Final thoughts: These liberal publications may be anticipating a Trump victory. So, let us ask, ‘Why the change this election? After all these years of liberal bias, why stop now?’
Imagine more than one possibility: Truth in Print and Truth in Speech Executive Order(s) and/or Law(s) may be forthcoming. But also, the various mass propaganda media publications may be anticipating being charged with treason or misprision of treason and they are trying to get ahead of the coming fallout. Or—not likely—perhaps, the owners recognize the danger their liberal bias has been to the health and wellbeing of the nation and wisely see the need for Truth in Print.
