Elon Musk took yet another jab at Justin Trudeau after the disgraced Canadian Prime Minister tried to take a final stand against President-elect Donald Trump’s rhetoric suggesting the United States could absorb the Great White North.

Last month, Trump kicked off the entire controversy when he slammed Trudeau for bristling at his potential tariff threat to persuade northern leaders to tighten border security.

Trump joked:

If Canada can’t survive without ripping off the US to the tune of $100 billion a year, then maybe Canada should become the 51st state, and Trudeau could become its governor.

Since that point, the 47th President has consistently chided Trudeau on social media. And Justin felt the need to respond.

Trudeau posted on X:

There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Canada would become part of the United States.

Musk, who has been tapped alongside former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), took a late-night/early-morning swipe at Trudeau over the comments.

Musk:

Girl, you’re not the governor of Canada anymore, so (it) doesn’t matter what you say.

Boom!

BUT, not quite yet, Elon. Perhaps, though, soon.

Trudeau announced his intention to resign as both leader of the Liberal Party and Prime Minister of Canada on January 7th, 2025.

Howsomever, he will remain in his position until a new party leader is determined.

Canada’s Parliament has been prorogued until March 24, meaning Trudeau will remain in his role as the party finds a new leader.

Upon hearing news of Trudeau’s resignation, Trump and Musk celebrated.

The President-elect said on Truth Social:

Many people in Canada LOVE being the 51st State.

The United States can no longer suffer the massive Trade Deficits and Subsidies that Canada needs to stay afloat.

Justin Trudeau knew this, and resigned.

Musk referenced the resignation, having said:

2025 is looking good.

Trudeau has had a rough stretch. Aside from being a constant punching bag for Trump and Musk on social media, he could not even escape scorn and ridicule while on a skiing vacation in British Columbia.

A video went viral a couple of weeks ago of a woman confronting Trudeau as he happily approached for a handshake at a ski resort and she promptly told him to “Please get the f**k out of BC.”

“Have a beautiful day, ma’am,” he said, making a polite retreat, prompting the woman to reply, “Yeah, you suck.”

Kicking Trudeau while he is down seems to have become a national pastime.

RedState’s Jennifer Oliver O’Connell reported on the President-elect explaining how Canada has been ripping off the United States.

Asked if he would use military force, Trump said he intends to use “economic force” to persuade Canada to get in line.

Trump told reporters:

Here’s the problem with Canada …

So many friends up there, I love the Canadian people, they’re great. But, we’re spending hundreds of billions a year to protect it. We’re spending hundreds of billions a year to take care of Canada.

Noting America imports cars and lumber from them when we can hold our own in those industries, Trump noted:

We lose in trade deficits.

Further:

We don’t need anything they have. We don’t need their dairy products, we have more than they have. We don’t need anything.

So why are we losing 200 billion dollars a year and more to protect Canada?

An important question, indeed.

Hopefully, the new Prime Minister (or governor) of Canada will understand Trump is serious—the fleecing of the United States taxpayer will no longer be tolerated.
