During an explosive House Oversight Committee hearing with Sanctuary State Governors on Thursday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) eviscerated NY Governor Kathy Hochul’s sanctuary state policies and demanded she face justice for the murder of Laken Riley.
This from thegatewaypundit.com.
Sparks flew several times throughout the hearing between Republicans who want secure borders and communists/globalists who want open borders and sanctuaries for criminal aliens.
During one exchange, The Gateway Pundit reported, unhinged leftist Rep. Maxwel Frost (C/G-FL) screamed at Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and demanded Kristi Noem face a subpoena.
After establishing for the record that Hochul is a “proud Democrat” and a Joe Biden supporter, Greene forced Hochul to face the horrors of New York’s sanctuary policies and the Obiden open border.
Greene showed two news headlines, one about a 13-year-old girl who was tied up and raped in a New York park in broad daylight by an Ecuadorian illegal.
As she called out the Governor for allowing this tragedy, Greene said:
Fox News got it wrong. It should say:
‘Monster arrested in broad daylight rape of a 13-year-old.’
Another headline she referenced was about police officers who were attacked while trying to stop a group of illegal youth gang members who were living at the lawless Sanctuary City of Manhattan’s Row Hotel on the taxpayers’ dime.
Greene said:
New York Post also got it wrong and
called him a migrant. That’s a monster.
Further:
That’s your state,
where you support your sanctuary state laws.
Greene then showed Hochul the horrific photo of the woman who was set on fire inside a New York City subway car by a Guatemalan illegal alien just days before Christmas last year. “Do you recognize this image?” Greene asked before stating:
This is the result of your sick and disgusting
treasonous laws that you uphold.
Hochul had the audacity to fire back:
New York is not a sanctuary state for criminals.
AN OBVIOUS LIE.
The Georgia Congresswoman turned to Hochul’s most heinous crime: Laken Riley, a talented young nursing student at the University of Georgia. Laken was brutally murdered while jogging on campus by Jose Antonio Ibarra, a criminal illegal alien who New York arrested and released “quickly before ICE could even issue a detainer,” Greene noted.
He flew from the state of New York
to my home state in Georgia, and you all paid for it.
Hochul, who had a smug expression, appeared to Greene to be smiling. “Don’t you dare smile about the murder of Laken Riley,” Greene said, before holding a photo of Riley and condemning the “treasonous” governor’s complicity in her murder.
“You are responsible for the murder of this little girl, Laken Riley, and the Department of Justice should prosecute you for her murder,” Greene said which started a shouting match between Greene, Ranking Member Stephen Lynch (C/G-MA), and Chairman Comer.
Comer rebuked the Governor when she attempted to feign sympathy for Laken Riley and demanded Congress to work with the Governor to secure the border. He said:
The policy of the previous administration was an open border. It was an open border. You all supported that. Now, you’re saying we need—The border was open and you all said nothing.
Further:
We didn’t have to pass legislation. Donald Trump secured the border on the first day. Now, there’s no question you all have been obstructing and criticizing and failing to work with this administration in trying to apprehend the criminal illegals!

God speed to Congresswoman Greene.
