Just when you thought the Brett Kavanaugh saga couldn’t get any stupider, along comes Joy Behar to dumb it down even further. The View cohost warned that if Kavanaugh should be confirmed to the Supreme Court, the United States will be transformed into Apartheid-era South Africa where a white minority rules with an iron fist over the non-white majority. While most liberals are trying to frame the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings as a sexism issue, Joy Behar stepped outside of the box and went with a racism thing.
The chickens of The View were clucking about yesterday’s Senate Intelligence Committee hearing in which both Kavanaugh and the woman who has accused him of sexual misconduct testified. It comes as no surprise that the liberal women on The View believed Christine Blasey Ford’s fact and evidence-free claim, and dismissed Kavanaugh’s fact-filled defense.
Somehow this discussion turned quickly from partisan hackery to apocalyptic visions of white supremacy.
“They just want to hold on to their power,” said Behar of the Republicans.
“They know that this country is getting darker. White Europeans are now 61% of the population. 61% are white caucasians. In 2025 it will be 49% so it’s going down. They’re worried that white people are going to lose all their power so they don’t care if [Ford] is lying, or not lying, or if [Kavanaugh] is lying, they just want to hold on to their power,” Behar said.
Now wait for it…
“Pretty soon we’ll be like South Africa, apartheid, where 10% of white people were running the country. It seems like the trajectory that we’re on here,” Behar said.
In a weird moment of defiance, Whoopi Goldberg, the black one, called Behar out for her bullshit and said there is no way America is headed towards Apartheid. When Whoopi Goldberg is calling you a dumbass, it’s time to hang it up, because she’s half dumb and half ass. Whoopi thinks Hillary Clinton has a gonad in her throat and that AK-47’s can make deer explode.
Behar tried to cover up by saying she didn’t mean that we’re headed for this oppressive racist society, just that the Republicans want that to happen:
“This is what they want. These people who are only interesting in retaining white power in this country,” said Behar.
Joy Behar is a babbling idiot and even she doesn’t know what she means most of the time, but here’s my best estimation of what her claim is: Republicans are white supremacists for wanting to seat a well-qualified white judge on the Supreme Court.
If that’s what Behar thinks, what does she make of Barack Obama nominating two white people to the SCOTUS? Elena Kagan, who was confirmed, and Merrick Garland, who wasn’t, are both white people. Does Behar also think Obama, who wasn’t the whitest president ever, was trying to hang on to white power and usher in Apartheid?
Come to think of it, the only black Justice on the Supreme Court is conservative judge Clarence Thomas, who was nominated by Republican George Bush SR. If you remember, democrats tried to pull that same dirty trick with a last minute sexual assault claim on Thomas that they are doing with Kavanaugh. Why isn’t Behar giving Republicans credit for fighting against Apartheid and giving democrats shit for promoting white supremacy?
