Any parent will tell you when a toddler is cranky, kicking and screaming, eventually the child will get tired and go down for a nap. The same thing appears to have happened with leftist lunatics. After hundreds of frothing liberals protested Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation process only a small handful showed up to scream at him on his first day at the Supreme Court. Of course this could be due to the fact that the dark money financing the protests has dried up, but it’s also probably because liberals have moved on to something new to be outraged over.
The Hill reports Kavanaugh’s first day on the bench went swimmingly:
While fiery protests drew large crowds to the steps of the Supreme Court over the weekend to oppose his pending confirmation, the first day of Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s career on the high court was relatively uneventful.
Trump’s second nominee, who was confirmed Saturday amid controversy surrounding multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, made it through his first oral arguments Tuesday without any interruptions from protesters inside the courtroom.
Kavanaugh took his place on the bench next to Justice Elena Kagan, an appointee of former President Obama…
Kavanaugh and Kagan were spotted several times leaning in to chat and chuckle with one another.
What? Kavanaugh was falsely accused of sexual misconduct by dirty democrats trying to assassinate his character and stop his nomination. How can a liberal Justice like Elena Kagan, who said Kavaunugh’s appointment delegitimizes the SCOTUS, share a laugh with someone liberals say is a rapist? Maybe this is what the left has moved on to. Perhaps they are planning on destroying Kagan for being a rape apologist.
And while there were no protests inside the court, most observers were there to support Kavanaugh, outside the SCOTUS was a different story:
But just before 9 a.m., a line of protesters, some dressed as handmaids from the popular television drama “Handmaid’s Tale,” rounded the corner chanting “We will not forget. We do not consent” and “Say it loud, say it clear, Kavanaugh’s not welcome here.”
As you can see, that “line” of protesters was actually just 7 people and they aren’t even in a line. The Hill clearly wants you to think this was a sizable crowd, but it wasn’t.
And then there’s this:
Another protester, Lisa Fithian of Austin, Texas, said she was arrested amid protests on Saturday and she couldn’t tolerate Kavanaugh’s first day on the bench.
“This is not over. This will unleash a whole new wave of resistance,” said Fithian.
There were 7 people and maybe a couple more who were camera-shy This is over. This was’t a wave, this wasn’t a ripple, it was dry lake bed with a few dying fish flopping around.
As I said, the liberal babies cried themselves to sleep and when they wake up they’ll forget all about Brett Kavanaugh and move on to some new temper tantrum. This is no reason to be sad however, with Trump in the White House there is so much the left can manufacture outrage over. UN Ambassador Nikki Haley just resigned so maybe they have a spastic fit over whoever Trump nominates to replace her.
