Of all the “Chuck Schumer Complains About” stories I could think of, this is the absolute last thing I expected. The Senate Minority leader is bitching that there’s too much damn political correctness in our culture, which is utterly bizarre coming from a liberal PC cultural warrior like him. I guess if Chuck Schumer was complaining that President Trump is doing too good of a job that would be more unexpected, but this is a close second.
Schumer was on Fox News, just kidding, he was on MSNBC and more specifically Morning Joe with that guy with the huge forehead. Panelist Steve Kornacki (with a relatively normal-sized forehead) pointed out that the vast majority of Americans are sick of “PC culture” and that it was a strong running point for Republicans because democrats are the ones ramming political correctness down everyone’s throats.
“Is there too much political correctness in this country?” asked Kornacki.
“I think there is too much political correctness in this country, but I think health care is far and away the dominant issue. There is a lot of political correctness on both sides all the time. It’s not the biggest issue, not even close. The biggest issue is healthcare,” Schumer replied.
In case you don’t feel like watching the video, Schumer talked nothing but healthcare. It didn’t matter what the question was, he answered “healthcare, healthcare, healthcare,” which is why he slipped it into this answer as well.
As for him saying he thinks there’s to much PC in this country, I’m calling bullshit. He’s a leader of the Democratic Party, which does nothing but shame everyone for a lack of political correctness as way of appearing morally superior.
Democrats try to confuse the issue of illegal immigration with PC. They get hysterical if someone calls an illegal alien an “illegal alien” despite the fact that it is the proper term for someone present in the country without permission. They also don’t approve of the term “illegal immigrant” and in fact won’t even use “undocumented immigrant” opting instead for simply “immigrant” like there’s no difference between someone who sneaks into out country and someone who comes in the right way.
When President Trump referred to the violent street gang of illegal immigrants, MS-13, as “animals” liberals were outraged. Schumer himself attacked Trump saying it was despicable to call “immigrants” such a word. He went so far as to claim his great-grandparents were illegal immigrant gangbangers just like MS-13, which is some bonkers-ass political correctness.
Democrats won’t use the word “black” to describe black people because they say it’s borderline racist. They won’t call a man pretending to be a woman a “tranny” because they say it’s homophobic. They won’t call people from Mexico “Mexicans” because it’s xenophobic. When a Muslim terrorist kills Americans, democrats won’t even use the word “Muslim” to in relation to the killer because they claim Islam is the religion of peace and it’s degrading to focus on the religion of a scumbag who just killed a bunch of innocent people.
Equally as bullshit as Schumer’s claim that he thinks there’s too much PC in the country is his line that there is too much political correctness “on both sides.” Oh yeah? Please give me an example of Republicans being too PC. Schumer says it goes on “all the time” so surely he must have dozens of anecdotes of the GOP being too PC. I’ll take just one, but he can’t even produce that because it was a lie to make his party seem less ridiculous than they really are.
Hey, if Chuck Schumer really does think we are all too PC, let him lead by example. I want to see him kick off every media appearance with a joke about a black tranny, a Mexican illegal alien, and a Muslim terorrist going into a bar. Until he does this, I’m going to assume he’s a lying sack of shit.
