British twit Piers Morgan simply can’t understand why we Americans value the freedom we won by kicking his country’s ass. Following the Pittsburgh Synagogue shooting, Morgan once again thinks we give a crap about his anti-gun/anti-liberty opinions and is demanding that we surrender our weapons. I think I speak for everyone when I say, he’s welcome to come over here and try to take ‘em, but I can’t guarantee things are going to work out well for him.
On Saturday anti-Semite James Bowers shot and killed 11 people, wounding at least 6 more, at a Synagogue in Pittsburgh. Reports are that the killer used an AR-15 type of weapon and two handguns. These firearms were legally purchased and Bowers was never convicted of a felony or involuntarily institutionalized. He was a law-abiding citizen right up until he started shooting and there isn’t a gun control law on the books or proposed by knee-jerk liberals that would have stopped this madman from going on his rampage.
The left however is using this tragedy, like they do with all tragedies, to force their unconstitutional gun control agenda. Piers Morgan is of course that annoying British guy who lost his American TV gig because all he did was insult us for having a 2nd Amendment right to gun ownership. It’s like he learned nothing from getting fired by CNN (Yeah, he was fired by the biggest fake news network for being too full of shit) and sent out this condescending tweet:

Well, at least he admits he’s an ignorant foreigner, which may be the first time I actually agree with him on something. He probably should have stopped there however, because everything that comes afterwards only reinforces his blinding ignorance.
AR-15s are most certainly not the most commonly used weapons in mass shootings. According to Statista there have been 104 mass shootings in the US between 1982-2018. In those mass shootings, the killers used handguns the vast majority of the time. Rifles came in a distant second and shotguns are third. The rifles used in mass shootings are rifles of any kind, so the percentage of AR-15s is actually quite small. Morgan’s statement that AR-15s are used in almost every mass shooting is completely false.
As for his suggestion that we give up our AR-15s, why? The number of crimes committed with AR-15s in the US in any given year is so minuscule that it is statically insignificant. Why should we give up a weapon that isn’t even close to being a problem? Come to think of it, why should we give up any of our guns. The guns used in crimes are almost all illegally possessed. Law-abiding gun owners rarely commit crimes, so the only thing that will make a dent in crime is if criminals give up their guns. If only they could pass a law that makes committing crimes illegal, we’d be styling’.
Also, please notice that Morgan is saying we should “start” with giving up AR-15’s, which indicates that there is more to come in his fantasy of disarming the United States. No thanks, we’ll keep our liberty.
Morgan says we also need to make it harder for lunatics to murder, but his demand that we give up our AR-15s wouldn’t come close to making that happen. People who are insane are already banned from owning firearms and there’s no way to predict when people will snap and do something unthinkable like commit a mass shooting.
We gave up our British King in 1776, and we gave up Piers Morgan in 2014 when he was fired by CNN, but we are not giving up our guns no matter how much this ignorant foreigner cries about it. We will not become like the UK where the government stops and frisks people to confiscate garden shears and mellon-ballers.
