With the democrats hoping to take control of Congress in the midterm elections in a few days their plan for a “blue wave” looks in jeopardy, mostly because they haven’t given the people a reason to vote for them. Under Republican leadership, the economy is booming, the country is safer, and there’s been a sudden outbreak of world peace, so why the hell would the American people want to screw that up by handing the keys over to the donkeys? As luck would have it, Virginia Senator Mark Warner has an answer. He says if we vote democrats into power, they will stop Donald Trump from inspiring male strippers to send fake bombs to democrats. Sadly enough, this is less dumb than their usual high taxes/low freedom message.
Warner was on Face the Nation Sunday and showed that he really has his finger on the pulse of America.
“What I think people are concerned about is they’re concerned about this President that, frankly, even if you agree the economy is going well, we need to have some level of check on him,” said Warner.
Maybe he should go look at some opinion polls and figure out that the issues Americans care most about are the economy, healthcare, terrorism, and illegal immigration. The last thing people give a shit about is the temper tantrum democrats have been throwing over the results of a free and fair election for the past two years. Then again, Warner is a liberal and to him most Americans don’t qualify as “people” so what he meant was that he and his fellow lunatics are concerned about Trump, which makes his statement technically true.
Okay, so Warner is saying that if the democrats are voted in to power next Tuesday, they will act as a “check” on President Trump. He then went on to describe the things that Trump is doing, that need to be checked and what he came up with was that male stripper kook who sent a bunch of fake bombs to top democrats like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Warner also brought up the Pittsburgh Synagogue shooting and President Trump’s plan to end birthright citizenship.
Now here’s the pitch:
“People need to get out and vote if they are concerned about what’s going on in Washington, if they are concerned about a President that doesn’t act very presidential when we see moments of crisis over the last few weeks, they need to have their votes counted,” said Warner.
Let’s put all of this together, shall we? Warner is saying that if democrats were in control of Congress, they would keep President Trump in check. The things that Warner claims need checking are that a crazy guy perpetrated a bomb hoax and a crazier guy killed people in a Synagogue. Therefore he’s saying that a democratic majority in Congress will stop further bomb hoaxes and mass shootings.
That’s already a preposterous statement, but it gets worse because Warner’s premise is that Donald Trump was directly responsible for the bomb hoax and Synagogue shooting. That is not the case, but how in the hell could a democratically-controlled Congress stop things like that from happening? Would they pass legislation banning bomb hoaxes and mass shootings? Those things are already illegal and the reason why I know this is because both of these crazy assholes were arrested and charged with multiple crimes.
In the run-up to the midterms the democrats have championed higher taxes, less personal freedom, less border security, and a complete loss of American sovereignty. In claiming that democrats will stop Trump from inspiring male strippers to send bombs to democrats, Mark Warner has given us another really good reason not to vote for democrats: these people are f*cking insane and don’t have a clue about how anything works in the real world. You wanna put these nuts in the driver’s seat of our kick-ass economy? No thanks.
