What if there were a way to weaponized the 1st Amendment right of free speech to destroy the 2nd Amendment right of gun ownership? It is democrats’ wet dream to not only silence speech they disapprove of but also disarm the American people. Two New York lawmakers think they’ve found a way to put these things together by proposing a law that would deny gun purchases based on a person’s social media posts and Internet search history. This is kind of like when that guy with the chocolate ran into that guy with the peanut butter and invented Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, only way more evil and fascist.
WCBS brings the latest attempt by democrats to crush all freedom:
Two New York lawmakers are working to draft a bill that would propose a social media check before a gun purchase.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and state Sen. Kevin Palmer’s proposal would allow authorities to review three years of social media history and one year of internet search history of any person seeking to purchase a firearm.
“A three-year review of a social media profile would give an easy profile of a person who is not suitable to hold and possess a fire arm,” said Adams.
So what exactly would they be looking for to disqualify a person from purchasing a firearm? Well, this:
The two are hoping to identify any hate speech on social media profiles, which are often revealed only after someone is arrested in a mass shooting.
Who’s to say what qualifies as hate speech? The answer is clearly liberals since they are the ones proposing this ridiculously unconstitutional law, and that brings up even more issues than legality. The left thinks anything that goes against their twisted ideology qualifies as hate speech. This article you are reading now would fall under the liberals’ definition of hate speech because it is in support of both the 1st and 2nd Amendments, two things they effing hate. Democrats would abuse the hell out of a law like this to deny conservatives and independent thinkers their right to own a gun.
Also, it’s important to note that almost everyone who posts anything remotely hate-related has never nor will ever commit a mass shooting. Plus, this is the United States of American and you have a right to hate people and be an a-hole.
It managed to get worse, because one of these kooks tried to equate legal gun ownership with violent crime:
“If the police department is reviewing a gang assault, a robbery, some type of shooting, they go and do a social media profile investigation,” Adams said.
A law-abiding person purchasing a firearm is not the same thing as some scumbag killing a convenience store clerk, but this democrat sure thinks so.
Any worries that this law is shockingly unconstitutional were put to rest by these two democrats:
There are some logistical concerns as free speech and gun rights complaints are likely to come up. Though, Adams and Palmer say it is doable and needed.
Yeah suckers, this is New York AKA the Bill of Rights’ blind spot. Also, how did anyone manage to write that suppressing free speech and gun ownership rights are “logistical concerns” with a straight face?
It’s a guarantee that the liberal NY legislature will pass this piece of crap and Gov. Andrew Cuomo will sign it into law. That of course will make California try to top them with a law that bans gun ownership based on negative Yelp! reviews. Then Illinois and Maryland will confiscate firearms from people with really high Candy Crush scores, because obviously they are potential mass shooters.
