Black Women Declare War On Trump Over Michelle Obama Spat

There’s a lot of rules when it comes to black women and it can be hard to keep them straight: Don’t ask a black woman about her hair, don’t make direct eye contact with a black woman, and whatever you do never politely ask a black woman to mind her ill-mannered children in public. Another thing to remember is that both Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama are the patron saints of black women, so watch what you say about these two because there will be blood. Donald Trump kind of got into a thing with the former first lady (not really) and black women are furious with the president, which isn’t any different than how they normally feel.

Michelle Obama is releasing a new book this week and some excerpts have leaked showing that much of her memoirs is dedicated to attacking President Trump. In this passage, she accuses Trump of starting the rumors that her husband Barack wasn’t born in the US:

“The whole [birther] thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed. But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks. What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family’s safety at risk. And for this I’d never forgive him,” wrote Michelle.

As you can see, Michelle ignores the fact that it was Hillary Clinton’s campaign who started the “birtherism” thing in the 2008 democratic primaries, and she accuses Trump of inspiring someone to kill her daughters, something that never happened.

Trump doesn’t generally take baseless attacks like this without offering a hilarious response, but this time around, he was kind of subdued. When asked about Michelle’s book the president responded, “She got paid a lot of money to write a book and they always expect a little controversy.”

Trump then went on to attack Barack instead.

“I’ll give you a little controversy back, I’ll never forgive (President Barack Obama) for what he did to our US military. It was depleted, and I had to fix it,” Trump said. “What he did to our military made this country very unsafe for you and you and you,” said Trump.

Trump could have done his best Austin Powers impersonation and said, “She’s a man, baby” but he simply pointed out that Michelle is trying to move books by manufacturing some outrage.

This is no big deal to everyone except the aforementioned black women lobby. Sophia Nelson is a former GOP strategist who left the party to be a “woke” black woman for The Grio and Essence. As the self-appointed voice of black women, she went on CNN to tell President Trump, “Oh no you didn’t.”

“If the president were a real man, and yes, I’m saying that — I’m calling him out, he would have said, ‘you know what, I was out of line with the birther thing and she has every right to be concerned about the safety of her kids, I didn’t get it right.’ But of course we know that he will never do that,” said Nelson.

She then accused Trump of racism for calling out the stupidity of some other black women and then issued a warning:

“Look, he’s already in trouble with black women…He has already gone off the rails with black women a number of times, I don’t think he wants to do it with Michelle Obama…Expect to hear a lot more from us sisters about the president’s behavior,” Nelson said.

That appears to be an official declaration of war by black women against President Trump. Imagine how outraged they would be if he actually said anything bad about Michelle Obama or if he had called Oprah Winfrey a fat sack of crap.
