Disneyland may be the “happiest place on Earth” but according to failed Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke, the US/Mexico Border is the “safest place on Earth” or at least in the United States. President Trump delivered a speech to the nation on Tuesday about the importance of border security, which of course brought out all of the stupid on the left. Since he’s the rising superstar of the Democratic Party, O’Rourke led this charge of idiocy with a proudly dumb response.
To counter President Trump’s speech, O’Rourke shot a video at the border to show how gosh-darned safe it is.

“In addition to the facts, the border being the one of the safest places in America,” said O’Rourke, adding, “By any measure the border is as safe as it’s ever been.”
Stay with me on this one, O’Dork. Nobody is trying to say that crime on the physical border is the problem. Trump isn’t claiming that drugs, rape, murder, and terrorism are a crisis on the actual border. The problem is when these drug dealers, killers, and terrorist come to the interior of our country to commit crimes. Which brings us to the issue President Trump was trying to address: that it’s far too easy for these scumbags to get into this country because there is no physical barrier stopping them.
It would actually be great if all of these criminals stayed around the border to wage their mayhem, because it would be contained and we could deal with it, no problem. Saying that the border is super-safe is not only moronic, it has absolutely nothing to do with the actual issue of illegal immigrants committing horrific crimes against Americans all over the country.
And the real facts are that the border is not a safe place. Illegal immigrants attack border patrol agents and ranchers as they try to sneak across. Drug dealers kill people along the border to protect their shipments. Even illegal immigrants are murdered by the human traffickers that smuggle them in. I guess what O’Rourke meant was, besides all of the violence and death, the US/Mexico border is the safest place on Earth.
Because he doesn’t want to just be a one-hit blunder, O’Rourke said something else that was almost as dumb.
“And the president using fear and anecdote to try to instill an anxiety and a paranoia to build the political will to construct this wall that would cost $30 billion and take private property and cause death and suffering,” said O’Rourke.
How exactly does a wall cause death and suffering? Are the potential illegal immigrants going to run full-speed into the wall or something? Is this some kind of high-tech evil wall that attacks people who get too close?
Beto O’Rourke is concerned about the nonexistent problem of a wall killing illegal immigrants, but he doesn’t care about the real problem of illegal immigrants killing American citizens. The real death and suffering could be mitigated by a wall keeping these scumbags out, but like all democrats, O’Rourke cares more about foreign criminals than actual American citizens.
