I must have missed that part of Martin Luther King’s famous speech where he said he dreams of living in a world where democrats hate on the President of the United States. Maybe it was in the original draft or something, I don’t know. In any case democrats honored the legacy of MLK today by talking mad shit about President Trump and of course they called him a racist. What better way to celebrate Martin Luther King Day than to put on a public display of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
I know that I said “democrats” and Bernie Sanders is technically an Independent, but he ran for president as a democrat, will do it again as a democrat, and caucuses with the democrats. Plus he, along with fellow socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is the face of the Democratic Party, so he’s a democrat.
Comrade Bernie joined the NAACP for an MLK Day speech in Columbus, SC and it was as fun as you knew it would be.
“Today we talk about justice and today we talk about racism. And I must tell you, it gives me no pleasure to tell you that we now have a President of the United States who is a racist,” said Sanders.
Who’s he kidding? It gives him great please to call President Trump a racist. Also, we just now have a president who is racist? What about all them slave-owning segregationist democrats who have been in the White House?
“We have a president of the United States who has done something that no other president in modern history has done. What a president is supposed to do is to bring us together. And we have a president who is intentionally, purposely is trying to divide us up by the color of our skin, by our gender, by the country we came from, by our religion,” Sanders said.
Is he talking about Barack Obama? Somebody should let him know he’s no longer in office. Also, what would Bernie Sanders know about what a president is supposed to do? He lost.
Bernie finished this bit by listing all of the horribly racist things democrats have done like Indian genocide, slavery, and segregation and then without a hint of self-awareness told President Trump “we are not going backwards, we are going forward to a nondiscriminatory society.”
Not if those racist-ass democrats are in control.
Over at the Al Sharpton MLK bash, Rep. Hakeen Jeffries was also bashing Trump as a racist. There is no explanation why the video looks like a poorly transferred Kung-fu movie from the 1970’s.
“These are challenging times in the United States of America. We have a hater in the White House. Birther-in-Chief. The Grand Wizard of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. One of the things we’ve learned is that while Jim Crow may be dead he’s still got some nieces and nephews that are alive and well,” said Jeffries.
Is he talking about Hillary Clinton? Somebody should tell him that she lost the election and isn’t POTUS. Hillary is definitely a hater, started the birther rumors about Obama, and was besties with a former KKK recruiter. Donald Trump? Not so much.
Then without a hint of self-awareness, Jeffries used a story about segregationist democrat George Wallace’s racism to further attack Trump’s “racism.”
Basically what the democrats tried to do on MLK DAY is dump their shameless history of racism in Donald Trump’s front yard. Nice try, but anyone with half a brain knows who the real racists are in the country and it’s not the guy who has done more for minorities than any other president in US history.
