Notre Dame Covers Up Mural Of Columbus To Appease Sniveling Snowflakes

Simpering snowflake students have scored a major victory in South Bend, Indiana after they bullied officials at the University Of Notre Dame into covering up the school’s mural of Christopher Columbus.

The man who discovered America has become a focal point of leftist hate as institutions and municipalities across the nation have been under siege to either rename Columbus Day or if any statues of the Italian explorer are publicly visible, to tear them down.

The storied home of Knute Rockne and the Gipper has had a hellish four weeks after the Fighting Irish were thumped by Clemson 30-3 in the NCAA playoffs and now this indignity.

Via Campus Reform, “Invoking MLK Day, Notre Dame moves to cover up ‘demeaning’ Christopher Columbus mural”:

The president of the University of Notre Dame sent an email to all students Sunday night, informing them of the school’s decision to cover up an on-campus mural of Christopher Columbus.

President John Jenkins wrote “as we prepare to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day…at Notre Dame, I write to let you know of a recent decision,” in an email obtained by Campus Reform. “The murals by Luigi Gregori that adorn the ceremonial entrance to Notre Dame’s Main Building depict the life and exploration of Christopher Columbus.”

Jenkins continued by saying that the mural, which dates back to 1882-1884, was originally intended as a response to the school’s mostly Catholic immigrant population. Columbus, it is believed, was also Catholic.

It is the front in the left’s war on Catholics after Democrat frontrunner Kamala Harris attacked the Knights Of Columbus and the insane firestorm over the fake news that students for a Kentucky Catholic high school had attacked a Native American man in Washington during the March For Life.

The eruption of hate that was driven by the media and scumbags on Twitter has put the lives of the falsely accused students in jeopardy and endangered their families – all based on a lie.
