Democrats accuse Republicans of fear mongering, but it’s the lefties who deal exclusively in fear. According to them everything will be catastrophic. They said repealing net neutrality was going to kill people. They said the GOP tax cuts would kill millions. They said backing out of the Paris Climate Accord would literally kill everyone on the planet. Constant with their irrational doomsday message they also claim the current government shutdown will kill people and one democrat has offered up some proof, accusing Ted Cruz of murder for the 2013 shutdown.

Today on the Senate floor Texas Senator Ted Cruz was trying to get the democrats to agree to a small funding bill that would pay the US Coast Guard during the government shutdown. This sounds like something that should have bipartisan support, but Colorado democrat Michael Bennet completely lost his shit:
“I seldom rise on this floor to contradict somebody on the other side. I have worked very hard over the years to work in a bipartisan way with the presiding officer with my Republican colleagues, but these crocodile tears that the senator from Texas is crying for first responders are too hard for me to take,” said Bennet.
Crocodile tears because Cruz wants to pay the Coast Guard? Yeah, that’s nuts but nothing compared to what came next:
“When the senator from Texas shut this government down in 2013, my state was flooded. It was under water. People were killed. People’s houses were destroyed. Their small businesses were ruined forever. And because of the senator from Texas, this government was shut down for politics,” salt Bennet.
Do yourselves a favor and watch the video. Bennet is a complete lunatic. After accusing Ted Cruz of killing people with the 2103 shutdown, he went off on a rant about the current shutdown:
“How ludicrous it is that this government is shut down over a promise the president of the United States couldn’t keep? And that America is not interested in having them keep. This idea that he was going to build a medieval wall across the southern border of Texas, take it from the farmers and ranchers that were there and have the Mexicans pay for it isn’t true. That’s why we’re here,” Bennet screamed.
Well no, we’re here because democrats want open borders and refuse to fund anything that might stop illegal immigrants from coming in
The actual politics of the 2013 shutdown was over funding ObamaCare, which has turned out to be a giant piece of shit, so let’s call that a reasonable fight.
As far as I can tell, Bennet is referring to some flooding in 2013 in Colorado. 8 people did die as a result of those floods, but it ‘s unclear how the government shutdown had anything to do with that. It’s not like the flooding was a result of an unfunded government agency. Whether the government was open or not at the time, it was going to flood. At least Bennet should try to blame this on global warming or some crap like that.
Now here’s the biggest pile of shit about all of this: The democrats refusing to fund border security actually does kill people. Illegal immigrants do kill Americans and it happens all the time. An illegal immigrant murdered 4 people in Nevada earlier this month and that comes after another illegal immigrant murdered a cop in California around Christmas.
Hysterical democrats think everything is going to kill people, which is untrue, but when presented with a solution to stopping the deaths of innocent Americans, they’d rather shutdown the government and keep our border wide open to scumbags, rapists, and killers. Ted Cruz didn’t kill anyone in Colorado in 2013, but the blood of Americans murdered by illegal immigrants is on democrats’ hands as long as they refuse to take border security seriously.
