You’ll never see it on CNN but the ones who benefit the most from strong policies against illegal aliens are Hispanics who are here legally.
In what should be a sobering wake-up call to Democrats and their media mouthpieces who continue to insist that President Trump’s insistence on securing the border is racist, a new poll suggests that their strategy is backfiring.
The president’s approval rating with Latinos is on the upswing which is bad enough news for Chuck and Nancy as well as the party’s 2020 prospects of riding that critical demographic segment to the recapture of the White House.
Even worse?
Those ratings have climbed since only last month before the government shutdown and may continue to do so now that Pelosi rejected Trump’s offer to extend DACA protections for three years on those “Dreamers” that the Dems have thrown under the bus.
The poll was conducted by NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist, none of which can be accused of having a conservative bias.

Latinos are increasingly rallying for President Trump, according to data from a new NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll.
The poll notes that 50 percent of Latinos surveyed approve of the job Trump is doing, a 19-point increase from December of last year.
Republican strategist Gus Portella said Saturday on Fox & Friends that the improvement is “very important.”
“This president has done historic strides to help the Latino community,” he said, noting the low unemployment of Latinos under Trump.
The poll also noted that 63 percent of all adults surveyed want to see elected officials make compromises.
It’s absolutely terrible news for Democrats and the POTUS took to Twitter to tout the news.
Wow, just heard that my poll numbers with Hispanics has gone up 19%, to 50%. That is because they know the Border issue better than anyone, and they want Security, which can only be gotten with a Wall.

How much higher will the numbers need to go until the spiteful Pelosi cracks?
One thing is likely and that is the longer that the shutdown drags on, the more that Dems will bleed Latino support that is crucial to their aspirations.
Contrary to the Dems’ belief, they aren’t stupid.
