Last year to rebut President Trump’s State of the Union Address, the democrats threw a greasy-lipped ginger Kennedy in front of the screen and he was a complete embarrassment for the party. This year they want to outdo themselves with ridiculousness so they’ve tapped loser Stacey Adams to deliver the democrats’ rebuttal. She is black, so she’s got that going for her in a party that pretends to be diverse, but she’s also an idiot who isn’t going to impress anyone.
Stacey Adams, if you remember, lost in the Georgia governor’s race last November to Republican Brian Kemp. She then refused to concede for what seemed like forever as the democrats tried to manipulate the vote counts. It didn’t work and she eventually conceded, calling the fair democratic process of voting racist. Obviously the democrats liked what they saw in her crushing defeat, so according to The Hill, she’s giving the SOTU rebuttal:
Stacey Abrams, who ran for governor last year in Georgia, will give the Democratic response to President Trump’s State of the Union speech next week, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced.
“Three weeks ago, I called Stacey Abrams and asked her to deliver the response, I was very delighted when she agreed,” said Schumer.
Three weeks ago the government was shut down and Nancy Pelosi was threatening to cancel the State of the Union, which she eventually did. Yet for some reason Chuck Schumer was planning a rebuttal for a speech he knew wasn’t going to happen? Also, why wasn’t he using that time to negotiate reopening the government?
In related news, the democrats have selected California’s attorney general to deliver their rebuttal in Spanish, also reported by The Hill:
California Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D) was chosen Tuesday to give the Spanish-language Democratic response to President Trump’s State of the Union speech on Feb. 5.
Becerra, a former lawmaker who served in Congress for 24 years, has used his position as attorney general to challenge many of Trump’s policy initiatives, particularly on immigration, health care and the environment.
“I’m looking forward to addressing my fellow Americans on a day when truth, candor and unity should be the order of the day,” said Becerra in a statement.
He does know that his “fellow Americans” speak English, right?
Becerra has sued the Trump administration 45 times, which is clearly why the democrats picked him. That doesn’t explain why an non-English rebuttal is needed, but if Abrams is going to deliver one in Eboncis, then I guess it makes sense to have one in Spanish.
I’m actually surprised the identity politics loving democrats don’t have a SOTU rebuttal from each and every aggrieved member of the professional victim classes. They should have a gay response, a trans response, a Muslim response, an illegal immigrant response, a victim of gun violence response, a woman with hairy armpits response, and a socialist response.
Actually, they are missing out on some potential hilarity by not have Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez give the idiot millennial response. She’s supposed to be the future and face of the party, so why not get her moronic takes on camera front and center? Maybe this means they democrats are already sick of her.
What I think is funniest about who the dems have chosen to rebut Trump is that neither Becerra nor Abrams are actual members of Congress. All this really shows is that the shallow-bench democrats don’t have anyone currently serving that they have confidence in. While democrats may think throwing Abrams and Becerra out there proves they are the party of diversity, the message it really conveys is that they suck.
