Al Sharpton can’t spell “respect” and Kamala Harris doesn’t know what the word means. In a hard-launch of her 2020 presidential campaign the California democrat said that it is possible to respect the 2nd Amednment and ban ban guns at the same time. Obviously that’s not true, but sat least Harris proved it’s possible to be full of crap and full of shit at the same time.

CNN is working overtime to make Kamala Harris the next President of the United States so they hosted a townhall meeting for her, ignoring all of the other democrats who have announced a 2020 bid. In one of the many staged moments of the night, a pastor gave Harris an underhand lob question on gun control, asking her what she would do to stop the “gun violence.”
“We have got to have smart gun safety laws in this country and we have to stop buying the false choice. You can be in favor of the Second Amendment and also understand that there is no reason in a civil society that we have assault weapons around communities that can kill babies and police officers,” said Harris.
Well, if you are trying to ban guns, as Harris is, it’s impossible to be in favor of the 2nd Amendment which clearly states that, “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” Gun bans are an infringement no matter how you slice it up.
Of course, there’s a lot of flaws in Harris’ BS. Semi-automatic guns are not “assault weapons” and they weren’t designed for killing babies and cops. Actually, if you look at what Harris is saying, she wants to ban any weapon that is capable of killing police officers and infants, which means she wants to get rid of literally everything from firearms to blunt instruments. Good luck with that.
Harris then detailed a plan to ram her unconstitutional gun control nonsense through Congress. In reference to the Sandy Hook shooting, she said this:
“Here’s what I think. I think that somebody should have required — and this is going to sound very harsh — I think somebody should have required all those members of Congress to go in a room, in a locked room, no press, nobody else, and look at the autopsy photographs of those babies. And then you vote your conscience,” said Harris.
Lawmakers take an oath to uphold the Constitution, not their conscience. What Harris is saying here is “f*ck the Constitution, let’s all vote our feelings.” But hey, if this is how she wants it, why not let members of Congress watch the brutal killing and dismemberment of an unborn baby and then vote their conscience on a late-term abortion ban?
“This has become a political issue,” declared Harris.
Yes, right at the very moment, gun control became a political issue. Where has she been for the past 50 years? Gun control has always been a political issue because it involves politicians (democrats) trying to take away a Constitutionally guaranteed right.
Finally, Harris laid out her gun control agenda:
“We’re not waiting for a good idea. We have the good ideas: an assault weapons ban, background checks,” said Harris.
In addition to not knowing what it means to respect the 2nd Amendment, Harris also doesn’t know what a good idea is. If the goal is to stop gun-related violence, banning law-abiding people from owning certain classes of weapons achieves nothing. A good idea would be to crack down on the scumbags who commit the crime, but banning semi-automatic weapons because they look scary to liberals is just plain dumb.
