Tuesday is filled with announcements of cancelled presidential campaigns nobody was asking for. First Hillary Clinton said she won’t run again in 2020 and now billionaire busybody Michael Bloomberg is also dropping out of contention. The anti-gun nanny-stater says he could definitely beat Donald Trump but would rather focus his efforts on kicking the crap out of the 2nd Amendment and the Sun. Seriously, he’s going to devote his efforts to ridding our country of freedom and climate change.
Bloomberg announced his decision to not run in Bloomberg, which is pretty mind-blowing.
“Many people have urged me to run. Some have told me that to win the Democratic nomination, I would need to change my views to match the polls. But I’ve been hearing that my whole political career,” wrote Bloomberg.
Okay, I have to call bullshit. Nobody, and I mean nobody, has urged Michael Bloomberg to run for president. It’s always been him and his ego telling him to run. He has an inflated opinion of himself, which he proves with this ridiculous statement:
“I know what it takes to run a winning campaign, and every day when I read the news, I grow more frustrated by the incompetence in the Oval Office. I know we can do better as a country. And I believe I would defeat Donald Trump in a general election,” Bloomberg bragged.
I can say I could beat Usain Bolt in a footrace or knock the shit out of Conor McGregor but it doesn’t make it true, especially if I’m unwilling to prove it. Michael Bloomberg couldn’t beat Trump in game of Hungry Hungry Hippos, let alone a general election and he knows it.
Making this funnier, this is why Bloomberg has decided not to back up his bold Trump-killing boast:
“But I am clear-eyed about the difficulty of winning the Democratic nomination in such a crowded field,” wrote Bloomberg.
So he could easily defeat Trump, but doesn’t think he could get through the Democratic Party primaries? And it’s because there’s a crowded field? I’m calling bullshit again. If he were a viable candidate, capable of topping Trump, he’d have no problem whipping up on leftist kooks like Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris. The truth of the matter is, nobody likes Michale Bloomberg, except himself. There is no excitement for him to run and he’d end up doing worse that Jeb Bush did in the Republican primaries.
Somehow Bloomberg’s BS gets even more hilarious. He’s also not running because he can get more done as a private citizen than the POTUS.
“I love our country too much to sit back and hope for the best as national problems get worse. But I also recognize that until 2021, and possibly longer, our only real hope for progress lies outside of Washington. And unlike most who are running or thinking of it, I’m fortunate enough to be in a position to devote the resources needed to bring people together and make a big difference,” Bloomberg wrote.
Is this guy really going to make me call bullshit for a third time? He loves this country? He literally wants to control the behavior of everyone in America by oppressing us and stripping us of our rights and free will. I don’t doubt that he would love his dystopian version of this country, but in its present form he despises America like all lefties do.
Bloomberg says that instead of running for president, he will devote his time to destroying the energy industry and our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. That’s bad, but this next thing is terrifying:
“In the weeks and months ahead, I will dive even deeper into the work of turning around our country, through concrete actions and results. And I will continue supporting candidates who can provide the leadership we need — on climate change, gun violence, education, health, voting rights, and other critical issues — and continue holding their feet to the fire to deliver what they promise,” threatened Bloomberg.
Did you catch that? He just admitted that he’s going to buy politicians to do his bidding and threatened to annihilate those who don’t comply. Maybe it’s just me, but that seems a tad bit anti-democratic for a guy who says he wants to, “protect our democracy.”
Bloomberg isn’t running a presidential campaign that nobody was asking for and instead is trying to install himself as some kind of tyrannical emperor that nobody wants. His effort to get rid of private gun ownership suddenly makes sense. He can’t be the unelected ruler of America if we have the means to resist his takeover efforts.
I suspect all Bloomberg is going to do is throw his money down the drain trying to prop up some lunatic candidates, which is fine. He’s rich. I mean, he could use his vast fortune to do things that would actually help people, but f*ck that, right?
