Crazy Joe Biden is almost certain to announce his presidential campaign any day now, but he’s got some ‘splainin’ to do. An old interview has surfaced where he talks about how much he doesn’t like the idea of black kids integrating into white schools. He also apparently didn’t think he, as a white democrat, bore any responsibility for slavery. The liberal media said Donald Trump was racist for wanting to see Obama’s birth certificate, so what will they make of this? Probably nothing, but I doubt black people will be too keen to jump on the Biden 2020 bandwagon.
Back in the 1970’s liberals came up with the stupid idea to bus inner-city black kids to white suburban schools and vice versa to force integration or some shit like that. In 1975, during his first term in the US Senate, Biden gave a very interesting interview on the subject. Check out some these quotes that will certainly make the radical left of the Democratic Party cringe:
“The real problem with busing — you take people who aren’t racist, people who are good citizens, who believe in equal education & opportunity, and you stunt their children’s intellectual growth by busing them to an inferior school…you’re going to fill them with hatred,” said Biden.
So forced integration makes people racist and it’s not their fault? And white kids learning next to black kids makes white kids stupid? Like I said, wow! Hang on to your hats because it gets crazier:
“Who the hell do we think we are, that the only way a black man or woman can learn is if they rub shoulders with my white child?” Biden asked.
You better check your white privilege, buddy.
“What it says is, ‘In order for your child with curly black hair, brown eyes, and dark skin to be able to learn anything, he needs to sit next to my blond-haired, blue-eyed son.’ That’s racist!” Biden exclaimed.
I’m almost certain that referring to black kids as children with “curly black hair, brown eyes, and dark skin” is racist, but I’ll have to check. I mean, Biden is a democrat so he can probably say that and get away with it, but to anyone else it would be racist. Speaking of which, Biden was no fan of race-mixing back in the day:
“We’ve lost our bearings since the 1954 Brown vs. School Board desegregation case. To ‘desegregate’ is different than to ‘integrate.’ I am philosophically opposed to quota systems. They insure mediocrity,” said Biden.
Biden was against bussing and integration, but surely he felt bad about that whole slavery thing his party put blacks through, right? Not so much…
“I do not buy the concept, popular in the ’60s, which said, ‘We have suppressed the black man for 300 years.’ I don’t feel responsible for the sins of my father and grandfather. I feel responsible for what the situation is today, for the sins of my own generation. And I’ll be damned if I feel responsible to pay for what happened 300 years ago,” Biden said.
It’s weird how Biden left this last point out of his 2019 MLK Day speech in which he called President Trump a racist, isn’t it?
Here’s the thing that conflicts the hell out of me: I actually agree with 1975 Joe Biden. Forced integration was stupid and created racial hatred where none existed before. Racial quota systems do breed mediocrity while punishing achievement. Nobody alive today bears any responsibility for slavery, with maybe the exception of the Democratic Party. Any time I find myself on the same page with Biden, it freaks me out a bit.
What Biden said was right on, but it’s going to be very problematic for him being a democrat running for president. The Democratic Party has moved so far left that anything short of supporting trillions of dollars in slave reparations is racism.
This is already very amusing, but the real fun will come when Biden’s people try to explain these things he said. It’s going to take a spin-Ninja to convince black people that Biden isn’t a raging white supremacist.
