Rob Reiner, Maxine Waters, and liberals everywhere are going to be upset by this. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has come out against impeaching Donald Trump. The reason for this is simple: there’s absolutely no reason to impeach the President, but the way Pelosi presented this was basically that Trump is too unimportant to bother with impeachment proceedings. She said specifically that he wasn’t worth impeaching.
Pelosi did an interview with The Washington Post, which seems to be putting all of their content behind a paywall these days, so I was able to harvest this information from multiple other sources. Sorry WaPo, I’m not paying for your fake news and you get no link from me.
Pelosi certainly had nothing nice to say about President Trump, describing him as “ethically unfit, intellectually unfit, and curiosity-wise unfit.
Curiosity-wise unfit? What in God’s name does that even mean? Is it just me or is it hilarious that Pelosi questioned Trump’s intelligence and then followed that up by saying something so profoundly stupid that nobody could possibly understand it?
When it got to talk of impeaching Trump, something many democrats are pushing for, Pelosi said “no dice” bringing up that she thought Bill Clinton’s impeachment was “horrible for the country.” Personally, I thought Bill’s impeachment was awesome and was disappointed the Senate didn’t drive it home, but I don’t think Nancy Pelosi considers what non-liberals think to be that important.
In any case, here’s what she had to say about impeaching Trump:
“I’m going to give you some news right now because I haven’t said this to any press person before, but since you asked, and I’ve been thinking about this: Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it,” said Pelosi.
Obviously Pelosi is trying to insult Trump by making him look like small potatoes, but buried in this passive/aggressive statement is the fact that even she knows there is no reason whatsoever to impeach Trump. He hasn’t done anything wrong and there is no evidence that he did.
And then shit got really funny:
“You know, it’s not about him. It’s about what we can do for the people to lower health-care costs, bigger paychecks, cleaner government,” added Pelosi.
That’s comedy gold. Pelosi won’t impeach President Trump because she’d rather focus on cheaper healthcare, fatter paychecks, and ending government corruption. She does remember that she was instrumental in passing ObamaCare, which sent healthcare costs through the roof, right? Equally funny is the idea that democrats can do anything to put more money in people’s pockets when all they know is raising taxes and killing jobs.
Pelosi also said that President Trump lost on the border wall fight by quoting Abraham Lincoln: “Public sentiment is everything. With public sentiment, nothing can fail. Without it, nothing can succeed.”
Except that Trump is building the wall without any help from Congress, so actually he won.
If Pelosi had any cognitive abilities she probably would have chosen a different quote because that one is rake in her face. The public does not support open borders, socialism, or infanticide and yet those are the major pillars of the Democratic Party’s platform.
I don’t know why, but I suspect this Pelosi interview is likely to trigger a President Trump tweet. She more or less just called him an insignificant little nothing. I sincerely hope he hits back with a really funny nickname for Pelosi. Between the age, dementia, and botox there’s a lot of material for the President to work with.
