Someone Defaced An RGB Poster And NYC Completely Freaks Out

Last weekend a black transgender “woman” was running around NYC attacking white people for being white. It took cops 3 days to make an arrest and that’s only because one of the victims helped them locate the attacker. Tuesday someone defaced a Ruth Bader Ginsberg poster in NY and the entire city is in a panic with all resources from both the city and state dedicated to finding the perpetrator of this vicious “hate crime.” I guess it shouldn’t come as a shock that an RBG poster is more important to NYC than white folks.

The Gothamist reports:

The graffiti was spotted at the Nassau Avenue subway station in Greenpoint on Tuesday. Local Justine Souchack posted about it on Next Door, writing: “Hey all, I hate to post about this especially since there’s been so much of this lately, but I came across this on a subway ad this morning,” she said. “An MTA worker washed it up but is there somewhere I could report this? It breaks my heart to see so much hate crime like this especially in a neighborhood as great as Greenpoint.”

And here it is:

As you can see, someone wrote “Die Jew Bitch” and drew a swastika on Ginsberg’s face. Well, not her actual face, but a poster of her. Also, is she still alive?

Okay, this is tasteless and anti-Semitic, but it’s just some graffiti on a poster in a subway station, not a mass shooting or an actual assault. The way NYC sees it however, there’s never been such an offensive thing to happen in the city. Check this out:

The NYPD Hate Crime Unit is investigating anti-Semitic graffiti that was scrawled on a poster of Ruth Bader Ginsburg inside a Brooklyn subway station this week.

The Hate Crime Task Force said in a statement that they are “currently on scene investigating ANTI-SEMITIC vandalism at the Nassau Ave station on the G line. Thank you to all community members for alerting the NYPD.” Police added, “There is no room for hate in NYC.”

Have these guys ever been to NYC? There’s a lot of hate in that city. It’s already ridiculous that they are treating this as some kind of major catastrophe, but things went completely bonkers when NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo got involved:

“For the second week in a row, a symbol of hate was discovered on a New York City subway platform. We will not stand by and allow hateful and discriminatory vandalism in New York. I have directed the New York State Police Hate Crimes Task Force to provide the NYPD with any resources needed to assist in the investigation,” said Cuomo in a statement.

You got that? Both the NYPD hate crime task force and the NY State Police are dumping all of their resources into someone scribbling with a Sharpie on a RGB poster. For some reason I feel like there may be more urgent crimes that need solving in New York, but what do I know?

Even the MTA is chipping in on the investigation:

“We have zero tolerance for hate and violence and this is a horrendous example that has no place anywhere. Immediately upon learning of this Tuesday afternoon we worked with NYPD and removed it the same day. We’re cooperating fully with the NYPD and other authorities—including sharing any available surveillance video—to assist them with their investigation,” said an MTA spokesman.

Boy are these people going to look silly when they see video of Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar scrawling this anti-Semitic message on RGB’s face. The good news is once Omar is unmasked as the hater, this message will no longer be anti-Semitic and it will be President Trump’s fault somehow.

Besides the astounding overreaction by authorities the thing that puzzles me the most here is, does this even count as a hate crime? Hate crimes tend to require victims and the only victim I see is a poster. Do posters have rights in NYC and do they enjoy hate crime protection? Would a poster of President Trump get the same kind of protection?
