Who is really shocked by this? The Southern Poverty Law Center, a group that scams liberals out of money to protect the world from racism, fired its co-founder yesterday for possibly being racist. The group didn’t say specifically why the co-founder was fired, but as you’ll soon see it was more than likely because he was a giant racist asshole. Interestingly enough, the SPLC never placed itself on the “Hate Watch” list with all of the other “racist” organizations it keeps tabs on.
Morris Dees (nuts) help found the Southern Poverty Law Center back in 1971. Since then they have amassed a half-billion dollar fortune in the race-hustling game, putting tax-cheat Al Sharpton to shame. As of yesterday, Dees is out on his ass and the SPLC has scrubbed him from their website. Here’s what they had to say about Dees ouster:
“As a civil rights organization, the SPLC is committed to ensuring that the conduct of our staff reflects the mission of the organization and the values we hope to instill in the world. When one of our own fails to meet those standards, no matter his or her role in the organization, we take it seriously and must take appropriate action,” said SPLC President Richard Cohen in a statement.
It sure does seem like Dees was fired because he’s a bigot, doesn’t it? The SPLC says he wasn’t upholding the values of the organization and they claim to be fighting racism, so clearly he was racist.
My theory gets some solid evidence to back it up courtesy of the Montgomery Advisor:
The series also alleged discriminatory treatment of black employees within the advocacy group, despite its outward efforts to improve the treatment of minorities in the country. Staffers at the time “accused Morris Dees, the center’s driving force, of being a racist and black employees have ‘felt threatened and banded together.’”
Which in turn is backed up but he rest of the SPLC statement on the firing of Morris Dees:
“Today we announced a number of immediate, concrete next steps we’re taking, including bringing in an outside organization to conduct a comprehensive assessment of our internal climate and workplace practices, to ensure that our talented staff is working in the environment that they deserve – one in which all voices are heard and all staff members are respected,” read the SPLC statement.
The only logical conclusion from all this is that Morris Dees is a a racist son-of-bitch who really really hates black people. Kudos to SPLC for only waiting 48 years before firing the racist in their midst.
Remember when SPLC listed HUD Secretary Ben Carson as a hate extremist because he’s a Christian? It turns out that was more because Morris Dees hates blacks than the left’s general dislike for people of faith.
The Southern Poverty Law Center is a group that claims they are fighting racism but was founded and run by a racist. This is like if the president of Planned Parenthood forced all employees to carry their pregnancies to term. Or if anti-gun crusaders Mark Kelly and Gabby Giffords were gun-owning hypocrites. Or if socialist Bernie Sanders owned three mansions and flew chartered jets everywhere.
Oh wait, those last two are true. I guess it’s not all that shocking to learn that liberal blowhards are completely full of shit.
