GOP Accused Of Racism For Making Fun Of Beto O’Rourke’s Drunk Driving

Robert Francis O’Rourke is a super-white super-privileged guy who is apparently of Irish decent. In recent years he has culturally appropriated the nickname “Beto” and has somehow become Hispanic. Coming with his adopted ethnicity are all the privileges of being a minority as the GOP is being accused of racism for making fun of Beto O’Rourke’s drunk driving arrest. I know that none of this makes any sense, but that’s just how thing are with crazy people on the left.

Back in 1998, O’Rourke was on a booty call, drunk off his ass, and flying down the road. He lost control of his vehicle, hit a pickup truck and crashed through the center divider. A witness reported that O’Rourke attempted to flee the scene but his vehicle was too damaged. He was arrested for drunk driving, but thanks to his influential daddy he avoided getting in any real trouble.

Sunday was St. Patricks Day and so the GOP sent out this handy reminder to not be an irresponsible piece of shit like Beto:

Come on, that’s hilarious, right? Maybe not. According to Dublin’s 98 FM, it actually quite racist.

Irish politicians have accused the Republican Party in the United States of racism and paddywhackery over a tweet attacking Democratic presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke.

If you think Irish politicians accusing Republicans of “paddywhackery” is funny, just wait, the insults get even more incoherently Irish.

Quoting some guy who is described as “Fianna Fáil’s Dublin councillor Paul McAuliffe” we find out that pointing out something f*cked up a white guy did is actually a new and innovative form of racism.

“A lot of people are just enjoying being Irish and enjoying the celebration, and this is a cack-handed attempt by a two-bit hack. It’s racist, they should apologise, they should retract it,” said McAuliffe of the GOP tweet.

Cack-handed? That sounds a hell of lot more racist than advising people to refrain from driving drunk. Maybe getting sritfaced and acting like an ass is so central to Irish identity that suggesting anyone drink responsible is hateful and bigoted.

McAuliffe was so outraged about this that he sent an angry tweet as well:

Yeah, but it’s not a religious reference, it’s something Beto O’Rourke really did. Even if it was a religious reference, religion is not a race so it’s pretty impossible for this to be racist. In fact, Irish isn’t a race either, so however you swing the shillelagh there is no racism here, especially since Beto o’Rourke is white

Also, this Irish guy has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about. St. Patrick’s Day is an excuse for people to go out and get sloppy drunk while wearing green. There is not one single St. Patrick’s Day celebration that involves positive aspects of Irish culture, it’s all about getting blotto.

I’m Irish, I didn’t take any offense at the GOP’s tweet. I am kind of offended that Beto O’Rouke is also Irish, but I do understand that some of my people can be embarrassing and irresponsible.
