If the democratic Governor and Attorney General wear blackface it’s not racist because obviously they are democrats. If Megyn Kelly simply states a fact that people used to use blackface in Halloween costumes she gets fired from NBC because obviously she’s not a democrat. What then will become of a high school teacher in New Jersey who wore an Obama mask and a MAGA hat last Halloween? I guess it really depends of whether he is a democrat or not. I bet you the teacher’s union is telling him to immediately register as a democrat to keep his job.
This is absolutely crazy. Last Halloween a white PE teacher at Science Park High School in Newark, NJ wore quite an interesting costume. He donned an Obama mask and accentuated it with a MAGA hat and a “Don’t Be Snowflake” t-shirt:
As I said, this happened in late October of 2018, almost 5 months ago. I guess liberals must have been preoccupied with something else because they awaited until this week to freak the f*ck out over the racism of a white teacher wearing an Obama mask.

Racial tensions? Yeah, they’re not kidding about this:
After causing a stir among students last year, the issue of the costume flared up at a packed meeting with parents and school leaders this month. Some parents, learning about the costume for the first time, were outraged, according to several attendees.
Now, a vocal group of mostly black parents and students are calling for the P.E. teacher, Matthew Swartz, to be disciplined or removed from the classroom. A few plan to raise the issue of the costume, along with what they consider to be the administration’s inadequate response to that and other racial incidents at the school, at Tuesday’s district school board meeting.
But wait, the costume wasn’t just racist against black students, it was offensive to Hispanic ones as well:
But the parents and students calling for disciplinary action say the overtly political costume was inappropriate for a school setting and insensitive to black and Hispanic students at Science Park, including some first- and second-generation immigrants, who feel threatened by the president’s harsh rhetoric about immigrants and people of color.

Some also viewed the Obama mask, worn by a white person, as a type of blackface — a practice with a racist history that continues to spark backlash.
If an Obama mask is racist, why do they sell them in every Halloween store from coast-to-coast? They should at least put a disclaimer on the masks stating they are not intended for white use. I’d say they should also disallow black people from going as white people or characters for Halloween but we all know that racism is a one-way street that heads straight into Honkytown.
Apparently when the teacher wore the costume, some students complained and the principal told him to take it off, which he did. He also apologized to the principal, which should be the end of it, but that ain’t how leftist outrage works.
I actually get the impression people are more offended by the MAGA hat than the Obama mask. Maybe it’s the MAGA hat with the Obama mask because as we all know the former occupier of the White is a saint and anything that parodies him is unforgivable racism.
Shockingly, the teacher’s union is standing by the teacher:
John Abeigon, president of the Newark Teachers Union, said Swartz had worn the Obama mask before without incident. He dismissed the current controversy as a non-issue fueled by a “vocal minority” of students and parents. He said he was not aware of any disciplinary action taken against Swartz, who apologized to the principal, though not in a public way to students.
“He’s already apologized if he’s offended anyone — but he shouldn’t need to apologize. It’s the United States of America, and we should value opinions whether we agree with them or not,” said Abeigon.
Correction: this is only the United States of America when liberals are expressing themselves or being offensive. When it comes to freedom of expression for anyone else, the left losses their shit.
I’m telling you, this guy should juts go register as a democrat and be done with it. Controversy over. If VA Gov. Ralph Northam gets to keep his job after his blackface scandal, a teacher in NJ isn’t going to have any issues with an Obama mask.
