On September 11, 2001 Islamic terrorists launched an attack on the United States by crashing airplanes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Almost 3,000 American lives were lost in the single worst terrorist attack on US soil. According to Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar however, those attacks were nothing more than some people doing things. Seriously. The Muslim democrat dismissed the attacks as a minor event that is barely worth mentioning.
Last month Omar gave a speech at a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) fundraiser and made this disgusting statement:

“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” said Omar.
Some people did something? That’s how you describe a bake sale at the local elementary school, not an Islamic terrorist attack that killed 3,000 innocent people. What was Pearl harbor? Some people doing things in airplanes? Was it an impromptu airshow?
CAIR of course has ties to terrorist groups like the Muslim Brotherhood, so to downplay the significance of the Islamic attack is even more despicable. And by the way, I don’t believe that CAIR ever recognized the 9/11 attacks in any way that condemned radical Islam.
Also, no Muslims lost access to their civil rights, whatever that means. Post-9/11 America meant that we all had to get strip-searched and anally probed before getting on a plane, but that was universally applied to everyone. Yet another awesome contribution to Western civilization from the suicide vest squad. Thanks, Allah.
My new favorite member of Congress, Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw was one of the few lawmakers to call Omar out on this, but then again he’s a Republican and a guy who lost an eye fighting Islamic extremism:

GOP chairwoman Ronna McDaniel was also pretty disgusted by Omar’s dismissal of this tragic event:

Not surprisingly, no democrats spoke out against Omar for this. Hey, if they can’t even condemn her for her Jew-hating, they aren’t going to say anything about her America-hating.
Fox News reports that Omar also continued her fanatically anti-Semitism and Isreal hatred in this speech:
Omar spoke at a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) fundraiser last month, where she called upon other Muslim Americans to “make people uncomfortable” with their activism and presence in the society and criticized the Jewish state.
Trust me on this one: mission accomplished. Nobody in this country feels comfortable in any public space with Muslims lurking around. Muslims have done a very good job in making the rest of uncomfortable and CAIR has certainly helped in that effort.
Ilan Omar is an anti-Semitic anti-American Muslim extremist with ties and sympathies to known terrorist organizations. I guess what I don’t understand is why she is in the US Congress and not on a the terror-watch and no-fly lists. I will say this, Republicans don’t give terrorists choice committee assignments. There is not one GOP member of ISIS sitting on the Foreign Relations Committee.
