California Rep. Eric Swalwell is running for president on an unconstitutional gun control platform. His plan is to ban and confiscate semi-automatic weapons that he calls “assault rifles” and “weapons of war.” In the past he has threatened to nuke all Americans who fail to comply with his order, but on Sunday he clarified that he would arrest and jail anyone who wouldn’t surrender their firearms. Somehow, Swalwell feels this is a less extreme position.
Swalwell was on State of the Union with Jake Tapper talking about how much he hates American freedom and the right to keep an bear arms. As Swalwell sees it, law-abiding people owning guns that he thinks look scary is causing “immeasurable fear” and that alleviating leftist gunphobia is a right that supersedes the right to keep and bear arms.
“I want to get rid of that fear, I want to do what Australia did, and New Zealand just recently did. I think this issue just needs some bold leadership to do it,” said Swalwell.
Oh, I see democrats now consider fascism to be “bold leadership.”
Swalwell is proposing an “assault weapons” ban and confiscation, just like Australia and New Zealand have done. Obviously those countries do not have a 2nd Amendment protecting the citizens’ right of gun ownership and Jake Tapper had questions:
“What’s the punishment for people who don’t hand in their guns, do they go to jail?” Tapper asked.
“They would,” replied Swalwell.
Swalwell claimed his threat to nuke American gun owners was a joke, but he’s dead serious about putting us in jail. I can’t stress this enough, that a democrat is running for President of the United States by saying he wants to tear up the Constitution and put all dissenters in concentration camps.
As I mentioned in the headline: bring it, fool! Molon Labe, bitch!
Just for fun, let’s pretend like Eric Swalwell has any chance of becoming POTUS and could pass his gun ban/confiscation wet dream. Then what?
Nobody has an exact number, but the best low-end estimates are that there are around 20 million “assault rifles” in private hands in the US. If Swalwell were able to pass his ban/confiscation, it would be shocking if there was even 20% compliance, meaning that the government would have to go out and find at least 16 million of the these weapons.
Keep in mind that the government wouldn’t be repossessing rent-to-own furniture and electronics, but rather fully-functioning firearms. And they’d be trying to take these guns from people who really don’t want to give them up. It would be a bloodbath that would make the Civil War look relatively minor.
All of the active military and law enforcement personal wouldn’t be enough to forcibly disarm the people in this country and chances are most soldiers and cops would not fire on their fellow Americans. I guess at this point, Swalwell would go back to his original plan to drop nuclear weapons on Americans who would resist his efforts to steal their freedom and rights.
Because Swalwell is a real piece of shit, he added, “I think the greatest threat to the 2nd Amendment is doing nothing.”
Let’s see if I have this straight: Respecting the people’s right to keep and bear arms is a threat to the 2nd Amendment, but banning and confiscating guns strengthens that right? That may be the all-time dumbest thing anyone has ever said.
In reality, the greatest threat to the 2nd Amendment is anti-American freedom-haters like Eric Swalwell. Thankfully our Founding Fathers came up with a pretty awesome blueprint for our country that stops assholes like him from seizing power and stripping our rights.
