Here Are The Radical Anti-Gun Views Of Biden’s ATF Pick

The “F” in “ATF” stands for “firearms” but Joe Biden wants it to represent “f*ck the 2nd Amendment.” The illegitimate president has picked a radical anti-gun activist to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. This is not a move to enforce existing laws but rather to enact Biden’s unconstitutional gun control agenda through the agency.

Biden is planning on nominating David Chipman for director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, an agency that hasn’t had a permanent leader since 2015. Chipman was a special agent of the ATF for 25 years, which sounds like some decent credentials for the job, but it’s his post-agency work that is troubling.

Chipman was a senior adviser at billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun group Everytown for Gun Safety. He then went on to become senior vice president of “Public Safety Solutions” for the gun-hating group.

From there he became a senior policy advisor for Gabriel Giffords lamely-named anti-gun group Giffords.

During his tenure as an anti-gun crusader, Chip also wrote many op/eds including this one for Politico where he calls on the ATF to enact gun control because Congress has failed to pass legislation:

As a former ATF special agent with more than 24 years of experience at the bureau, I know all too well how serious our gun violence problem is and how desperately the agency lacks for the law enforcement tools that are necessary to help curb this national epidemic.

But our weak firearms laws make it all too easy for guns to fall into the wrong hands — and since Congress has failed to address these gaps legislatively, ATF must chart a new course to combat the scourge of gun violence.

Joe Biden prefers executive orders over Congressional legislation to push his agenda so it looks like he found the right guy to back-door gun control.

And Chipman is up Biden’s ass when it comes to gun control. In a PBS NewsHour interview, he called for the ban of magazines holding more than 10 rounds:

“It seems to me a very reasonable approach. I — talking to any gun owner, a 100-round magazine is just not traditional. It’s not normal. And I can’t think of a purpose, beyond killing a lot of people, for having it. So if the debate is, should it be 10 or what have you, it can’t be 100,” said Chipman.

In another op/ed for the Roanoke Times, Chipman wrote that he supports the “well-regulated” part of the 2nd Amendment in regards to Virginia trying to pass gun control laws, including an assault weapons ban. He also wrote that he opposes, “those who abuse Second Amendment freedoms.”

In August of last year, Chipman told CNN he didn’t like the idea of people buying guns to protect themselves during the COVID-19 pandemic and George Floyd riots:

“My biggest concern involves the potential number of first time gun buyers who, before March, did not think they needed a gun,” said Chipman.

Def-Con News reported on Chipman last year when he tried to suggest that gun ownership rights were tied to killing zombies and since their is no zombie apocalypse, people shouldn’t own guns:

“What I would suggest to those people who were first-time gun owners is, if they did go out and buy a gun, I would secure that gun locked and unloaded and hide it behind the cans of tuna and beef jerky that you’ve stored in a cabinet and, you know, only bring that out if the zombies start to appear, and I don’t think they are,” said Chipman.

“If we can imagine how horrible this crisis is, the people who hoarded the guns might decide six months from now, once they see no zombies around but they’ve run out of tuna and beef jerky, that they need the money to buy food,” Chipman said.

David Chipman is a radical anti-gun activist who doesn’t believe people have an individual right of gun ownership. He’s as unqualified as any of Biden’s nominations but he’s particularly dangerous because he thinks the ATF’s role is not to enforce the law but rather make the law.
