Democrats hate America and this is especially true when their party doesn’t occupy the White House. Times it by ten with Donald Trump as President. Trump is currently setting the thumbscrew on China over trade which means that democrats suddenly love China. California Rep. Ro Khanna, who I thought was one of those shitty comedians from Tru TV’s World’s Drunkest Dumbshits (may not be actual title of show), thinks the US should be more like China because…Trump!

China also jails and kills people who disagree with the way the communists run the country, so there’s that. Plus, how wars has China ever won. I don’t know the answer, but I think its somewhere around zero.
As for the thing about American only having 16 years of peace in our history, where’s PolitiFact with the fact-check? I’m not going to hold my breath of that, and just do it myself.
The first war America engaged in was the Revolutionary War, but we hadn’t yet become the United States of America, so it doesn’t count. The first war we had as the US was the war of 1812, which lasted from 1812-1815 or 3 years.
The next declaration of war was the Mexican American war from 1886-1884: 2 years because we kicked the shit out of them. Then, there was the Spanish American War which was completed entirely in the year of 1898 because he really kicked the shit out of them.
After that, we declared war on Germany in 1917 in WWI and wrapped things up a year later in 1918. The next war we got involved in was WWII and our involvement lasted from 1941 until 1945 when we kicked ass and nuked the crap out of everyone.
Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and whatever the hell we are doing now in the Middle East were all “police actions,” conflicts, and/or attitude adjustments but never official declarations of war. We have not declared war on any country or anyone since WWII.
Adding up all of the years the United States has been at war since our conception, that number comes out to 11. Rep. Khanna says we’ve only been at peace for 16 years, but that is an obvious lie. America was founded in 1776 and we’ve spent 11 years in a declaration of war so that means we’ve had 232 years of peace. He was so close and yet way the f*ck off.
Even if we include the years were were involved in Korea, Vietnam, and the Middle East, it still only comes out to another 21 years. That would bring the total to 32 years of war in our country’s 243 year history.
Somehow Rep. Khanna’s historical ignorance is the least bad thing about this tweet. He wants the US to be more like China which, for those following at home, is a communist country. This is a place where the people have no freedom and have to do what the government tells them or they are jailed or killed. I can see why a democrat would have a boner for a place like this, but the rest of us love the free society our Founding Fathers gave us.
Also, the comedian I was thinking about from Americas Dumbest…was Jo Koy, which is close enough to Ro Kahanna. Jo is definitely funnier (intentionally) than Ko but not nearly as hilarious as Todd Bridges. Wha choo talking’ ‘bout, willis?
