The Witch Hunt Continues As Dems Subpoena Trump Tax Returns

House Democrats are intensifying their gross abuse of power with yet another push to get their hands on President Trump’s tax returns and the veritable treasure trove of opposition research contained within.

Having lied to the American people in order to regain control of the House Of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi’s lynch mob has failed to do their constitutional duty as legislators and have focused their efforts on impeaching Trump, hauling people before their tribunals and even mulling the jailing of those who refuse.

The Trump tax returns have been the Holy Grail to Democrats who spent a good period of time in the runup to the 2016 election trying to wrest them free and now that they have subpoena power, they intend to abuse it until the cows come home.

Rep. Richard Neal of ultra-liberal Massachusetts and currently the head of the House Ways And Means Committee has formally issued subpoenas to the Internal Revenue Service as well as the Department Of The Treasury demanding tax returns dating to several years before Trump was elected as the extremists on the left are hellbent to trigger a real constitutional crisis in what promises to be a high stakes showdown with the administration.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal subpoenaed the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service on Friday to obtain President Donald Trump’s last six tax returns.

“After reviewing the options available to me, and upon the advice of counsel, I issued a subpoena today to the secretary of the Treasury and the commissioner of the I.R.S. for six years of personal and business returns,” Neal told The New York Times. “While I do not take this step lightly, I believe this action gives us the best opportunity to succeed and obtain the requested material.”

Neal sent the subpoena to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and I.R.S. commissioner Charles Rettig following Mnuchin’s refusal on Monday to provide House Democrats access to Trump’s personal and business tax returns dating back to the year 2013.

Mnuchin contended at the time that the request was politically motivated. He further argued that turning the documents over would violate taxpayer privacy laws and warned that lawmakers would be vulnerable to the same prying.

Rep. Neal’s escalation comes on the heels of U.S. Secretary Of The Treasury Steve Mnuchin having told Democrats to go pound sand last week when he smacked their demands down as having no” “legitimate legislative purpose” as well as warning of a dangerous precedent.

Undeterred by the long term ramifications that will be spawned by their deranged hatred for Trump, Neal and fellow Democrats continue to up the ante and in doing so, offer a preview of the sort of hellish government persecution that their ideological adversaries and political enemies will face if they manage to regain control of the presidency and – God help us all – the Senate.

Chief inquisitor Adam Schiff whose district includes the nexus of anti-Trump animosity in Hollywood is boasting that they will have Trump’s tax returns by the end fo the year.

Democrats are clearly tired of their endless witch hunts and want to get about with the business of witch burning.
