Happy weekend Deplorables, enjoy the long weekend and don’t forget to take some time to honor the sacrifices that our veteran’s made to defend our freedom – which is now under siege by the socialists.

Socialism Will Be a Central Election Issue
Via American Greatness
A recent Gallup poll generated some surprise with the headline-grabbing result revealing 43 percent of Americans think socialism is a good thing. People should be surprised, as the poll itself is somewhat misleading: upon closer reading, we learn that 1 in 4 respondents define socialism as meaning social equality, while only 17 percent define it in the more traditional definition of government owning the means of production.
There’s a problem with all of this, which is a larger problem in our society: how are we even to debate ideas and their merit when we can’t even be sure we’re defining terms the same way?
The truth is while American Millennials and their younger brothers and sisters tend to have less of a problem with socialism, it’s clear many of them aren’t entirely clear about what the word means. This is yet more proof of the failures of our education system as it is disingenuous about what socialism actually is and what it has done to destroy nations and economies and peoples’ lives.
The kind of control socialism brings breeds societies with stagnating economies, government control of your private life, and worse. You won’t hear that message from the failed ideologues with tenure at the indoctrination camps of higher learning, or the politicians on the campaign trail, but that has been the result of socialism in every country it’s been tried.

Trump Strikes Back
By James Howard Kuntzler
Not long ago, few Americans of the thinking persuasion might have imagined that such a well-engineered republic, with its exquisite checks and balances, sturdy institutions, and time-tested traditions would end up as so much smoldering goop in a national dumpster fire, but such is the sad state-of-the-union moving into the fateful summer of 2019. The castle of the permanent bureaucracy is about to be torched by an uprising of deplorable peasants led by a Golden Golem made furious by relentless litigation. It’s Game of Thrones meets the Thermidorian Reaction with a Weimar-flavored cherry on top — really one for the ages!
here’s perhaps a lot to dislike about Donald J. Trump, US President No. 45. Despite all the grooming and tailoring, there’s little savoir faire there. He tweets not like a mellifluous songbird, but in snorts like a rooting aardvark. His every predilection is an affront to the refined Washington establishment: his dark business history, his beloved ormolu trappings, his Mickey-D cheeseburgers, the mystifying hair-doo.
Even so, the bad faith of his antagonists exceeds even Mr. Trump’s defects and vices. The plot they concocted to get rid of him failed. And, yes, it was a plot, even a coup. And they fucked it up magnificently, leaving a paper trail as wide as Interstate-95. Now all that paper is about to fall over the District of Columbia like radioactive ash, turning many current and former denizens of rogue agencies into the walking dead as they embark on the dismal journey between the grand juries and the federal prisons.

Are We on the Ramp to Impeachment Road?
By Patrick J. Buchanan
The Mueller investigation found that neither Trump nor anyone in his campaign colluded with the Russians in 2016. Yet that exoneration is insufficient for the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Jerrold Nadler. He wants public hearings with present and past White House aides under oath to put on a show trial for a national TV audience.
The euphemism for this swarm attack is “Congressional oversight of the executive.” And Trump is not wrong to see in it a conspiracy to bring down his presidency and impeach and remove him.
And if Trump believes, not without reason, that Pelosi’s caucus is out to kill his presidency, should he cooperate with the co-conspirators or use all of the actual and latent powers of his office to repel them?
These are the alternatives the president faces.
Out in the Rose Garden, Trump declared there would be no further cooperation on a legislative agenda with Democrats until a halt is called to their investigations:
“I told Senator Schumer and Speaker Pelosi, ‘I want to do infrastructure. I want to do it more than you want to do it. … But you can’t do it under these circumstances. So get these phony investigations over with.’”
Where, then, are we headed?
To gridlock first, then almost surely down the impeachment road.
For if Trump continues to defy subpoenas and denounce those who issue them, and Pelosi cannot deliver on the Democrats’ agenda, the louder will be the clamor of the Democratic base to remove Trump. At some point, Pelosi will have to go along or lose control of her rebellious caucus.

San Francisco: An Expensive, Shit-Covered Cesspool Marked By Crime And Depression
Via Zero Hedge
Thanks to high-crime, squalor, relaxed drug laws and an excruciatingly high cost of living, San Francisco has become one of the nation’s most depressing places to live, according to the City-Journal‘s Erica Sandberg.
And it’s not just the shit-covered streets which require highly-compensated “poop patrollers” to try and keep up with the fecal fiasco, or the thousands of used drug needles littering the ground, or the shocking number of aggressive homeless people terrifying tourists; San Francisco is a bastion of property crime – in fact, it’s the worst city in the nation when it comes to burglary, larceny, shoplifting and vandalism, according to the report.
The rate of car break-ins is particularly striking: in 2017 over 30,000 reports were filed, and the current average is 51 per day. Other low-level offenses, including drug dealing, street harassment, encampments, indecent exposure, public intoxication, simple assault, and disorderly conduct are also rampant.
When compounded with other troubles for which the city is now infamous (human feces, filth, and homelessness, which is up 17 percent since 2017), San Franciscans find themselves surrounded by squalor and disorder. –City-Journal

"The Modern Prophecy in the Final Episode of GAME OF THRONES" – Gregory Hood https://t.co/oAW9qExi7V

The Modern Prophecy in the Final Episode of Game of Thrones
Via The Unz Review
Many journalists are furious that Daenerys Targaryen, the “Breaker of Chains” sustained by foreign non-white armies, was portrayed as a fanatic. Of course, she was a fanatic, who believed she was chosen by destiny. The flaw was in how the show executed her arc, not in where it ended up.
From a conservative perspective, the final episode had a good message. The episode begins with Daenerys promising in a foreign tongue to “liberate” the entire world. King’s Landing smokes in the background, filled with burned corpses of men, women, and children. It’s reminiscent of Dresden.
Notably, she speaks in a foreign language to her two major forces, the Unsullied and the Dothraki — both foreigners. As characters in earlier episodes noted, Cercei, for all her faults, was at least native to Westeros. Daenerys was a foreign invader, using other foreigners to conquer the country. It was the equivalent of using Mongols to conquer England and restore the Stuarts. The “legitimate” ruler might be back on the throne, but the destruction wrought is enormous. Worse, Jon Snow is Aegon Targaryen, the truly legitimate heir to the throne. Daenerys wasn’t really “chosen” at all.
Tyrion ends up in jail after he is arrested for resigning as her main advisor. He converses with Jon Snow, eventually prompting Snow to regicide. Tyrion and Jon’s argument against Daenerys resembles a typical conservative critique of Communism and other messianic left-wing movements. On a smaller scale, it is a critique of antifa, Social Justice Warriors, and others who think ruining lives, using violence, and telling lies are justified in the cause of equality.
Daenerys wants to “break the wheel” of power struggles by conquering all in the name of the oppressed. “If you truly believed that, wouldn’t you kill everyone who stands between you and paradise?” Tyrion asks Jon rhetorically.

Why feminists threw a fit about the finale to Game of Thrones https://t.co/PeEgv01AEr

Why Feminists Threw A Fit About The Finale To Game Of Thrones
Via The American Thinker
Throughout the series, Daenerys was presented as the liberator of the enslaved and downtrodden, punishing their oppressors with her fire-breathing dragons on her quest to rule the land from which her family was exiled. Here, Daenerys was showing that a woman knows how to use power.
In Endgame, Daenerys wins the final battle. But instead of drawing her forces back or showing mercy to the innocent citizens of the battleground city, she completes her “mad queen” arc by destroying the city in a genocidal manner. Riding above the doomed city on her dragon, Daenerys burns the city and its tens of thousands of residents to a crisp.
This did not sit well with many, especially feminists. It didn’t take long for the likes of Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) to blast the finale. Ocasio-Cortez commented in her typically articulate way that “I feel like we were getting so close to having this ending with just women running to world and then the last two episodes, it’s like, oh, they’re too emotional. The end. It’s like, ugh, this was written by men.” She added: “We need to get some feminists’ analysis up in HBO.”
Sen. Gillibrand said, “I’m so pissed off.” What the senator disliked is how in the early part of the series, Daenerys was portrayed as a breaker of chains, as someone who made sure the lowest-income, the least empowered, could have their voices heard and respected. This all disappeared in an apparent fit of emotion as the dragon queen turned into a murderous mad queen.
Elizabeth Warren complained that the plot of Game of Thrones is male-centric and portrays women as too emotional. A sampling of the liberal media echoes this feminist lament. One example is Time magazine, which reads, “The Game of Thrones didn’t have to end this way.”
