Joe Biden is running a curious presidential campaign. He’s mostly trying to pretend that his public record of racism doesn’t exist while playing up the fact that he has a black friend and therefore isn’t racist. With him being Obama’s VP, you’d think that he’d be singing the former president’s praises, but this is Crazy Joe we’re talking about. His latest Joeism has him accidentally admitting that the Obama administration crapped all over white working class people and thinks this is a reason people should vote for him.
In an interview with The New York Times Biden admitted that the Obama administration completely ignored Rust Belt white working class voters.
“A lot of people were left behind,” said Biden. “In areas where people were hard hit, I don’t think we paid enough attention to their plight.”
A fair followup question that the NYT never asked would have been: Why did you, as Obama’s VP, sit idly by while he ignored the plight of white working class voters in Middle America?
The hilarious thing about this is that the NYT piece is called Joe Biden Wants to Take America Back to a Time Before Trump.
Okay, the time before Trump was the Obama era, so what Biden is saying is that he wants to bring America back to a time when the white working class were ignored. Put that on a bumper sticker, Joe.
No really, he’s saying the Obama administration ignored these white working class voters and Biden wants to be president so he can do the same thing.
This is reminiscent of the 2012 campaign where Obama was seeking reelection against Republican challenger Mitt Romney. Biden gave a campaign speech where he angrily attacked Romney’s tax plan:
“How they can justify raising taxes on the middle class who has been buried for the last four years,” said Biden.
Romney wasn’t proposing raising taxes on the middle class, but that’s hardly the problem with what Biden said. He was angry that the middle class had been “buried for the last four years” but somehow forgot who was in charge during that time period. Obama was running for reelection in 2012 so that means he was the president who was burying the middle class for the previous four years and, as his VP, Biden was complicit in that burying.
Biden is saying that he was a big part of crapping all over people who work for a living and wants to bring the country back to the good ole days of high taxes and redistribution of wealth. I know that democrats are liars, but for some reason I believe Biden on this one.
That’s one of a million reason why nobody should vote for Biden, but here’s what’s at the top of the list: He’s so bonkers that he thinks acknowledging his shitty record on the working and middle classes makes him the friend of the working man. He calls himself “Working Class Joe” even though he’s had a $15 million windfall since leaving office. He’s so crazy that he honesty believes people who earn their paycheck want to vote for a guy who plans on taking that money and giving to lazy people who just don’t feel like working.
