Holy Orwell Batman!
Democrats are in big-time trouble and they know it and are deploying their propagandists to attack the Electoral College in advance of next year’s elections.
Given the hideous array of potential candidates and their lack of any ideas that appeal to areas outside of liberal enclaves of the coastal elite, the groundwork is already being laid to delegitimize President Trump’s likely reelection.
As the final bit of stale air of the Russian collusion delusion hissed out of the balloon when Robert Mueller imploded during his congressional testimony last month, Dems and their toadies in the media immediately understood the magnitude of their problem.
No longer could they credibly push the bogus narrative that the Kremlin was meddling in our elections so now they are attacking the U.S. Constitution, a document that is hated by the radicalized left.
There have been many false arguments for the elimination of the Electoral College but none are quite so illustrative of the left’s collective madness than serial liar Chris Hayes of MSNBC unleashed this jaw-dropping bit of idiocy.
“…if it wasn’t specifically in the Constitution … it would be unconstitutional”

Via Mediaite:
“It is not surprising the Republicans are defending the electoral college, right?” Hayes continued. “There’s a very obvious reason for that. Since 1992, we have had seven presidential elections. Republicans have won the popular vote one time. But they’ve gotten three presidents out of it. Which is a very sweet deal if you’re the Republican Party.”
At one point he said it’s “preposterous” that this system is still in place when “if you run for class president in the fourth grade, you are elected if and only if you get the most votes.”
In response to Crenshaw arguing “we live in a republic, which means 51% of the population doesn’t get to boss around the other 49%,” Hayes said, “What he and his party are advocating is a world in which the 49% boss around the 51%.”
He concluded that “it’s time to do something totally radical, and that is this — run the presidential election the way we run every other election. The person with the most votes wins.”
Say what?
Not only is it the height of asininity to make such a claim but Hayes went one step further by suggesting that fourth graders are more consistent with “democracy” than were the Founding Fathers.
Like the rest of the MSNBC gang, the androgynous Hayes is targeting an audience of ignoramuses, socialists, Hillary dead-enders and woeful emotional basket cases who refuse to accept the result of an election that didn’t go their way.
It is also no surprise that his dishonest rant was a defense of criticism of movement leader Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a woman who lies as a first option, is clueless about history and sadly, has become the most influential member of Congress thanks to a media that promotes the idea that it’s cool to be stupid.
Several 2020 Democrats are already on record as vowing to blow up the institution that has decided elections since the nation’s inception all because Hillary clobbered Trump in California but lost the presidency.
Look for the calls for the Electoral College’s abolishment to grow even more shrill as the election gets closer and Democrats further trash their brand by trotting out an all-star team of communists, kooks, and zanies who couldn’t bet elected as dogcatcher in middle America.
