Senators Fret That Beto’s Gun Confiscation Crusade Could Sink New Gun Control Laws

Dude, put down the bong.

It may be that the rabidly socialist 2020 Democrats and their war on the Second Amendment have reached the point of diminishing returns.

Democrats and their media mouthpieces were on the brink of a huge political and ideological victory as only a few days ago, it appeared that both President Trump and Mitch McConnell were going to cave on some sort of gun control legislation.

But the desperation of one Robert Francis O’Rourke may have just torpedoed any sort of agreement between the party leaders.

Ever since he was lucky enough to have a mass shooting occur in a Walmart in his own district, Beto has been pushing the envelope on anti-gun hysteria in an effort to reanimate the corpse of his once-promising campaign.

During last weeks’ Democrat debate, Beto outdid himself by making it clear that if he is elected as president, that there would be gun confiscations.

Not only that, but he is also selling t-shirts and merchandise on his website that “Hell Yes” we are coming for the guns of law-abiding Americans.

However, the dopey, privileged Texan man-child may have killed the goose that laid the golden egg with his over-the-top push for gun buybacks with those holding out being forced by the jackboot of the state to comply or else.

Senate Democrats are bemoaning Beto’s stoner demeanor that conceals the dark heart of an authoritarian and already blaming the man who despite his elevated media presence for the collapse of incremental efforts to take the guns out of the hands of Americans.

One of those who is telling Beto to stifle himself is Jeff Flake’s BFF, Democrat Senator Chris Coons of Delaware who spoke on CNN.

Sen. Christopher Coons (D-Del.) on Friday warned that Beto O’Rourke’s pledge that the government will confiscate semiautomatic AR-15 rifles will become a rallying cry for gun rights groups for years to come and haunt the Democratic Party far into the future.

“I frankly think that that clip will be played for years at Second Amendment rallies with organizations that try to scare people by saying that Democrats are coming for your guns,” Coons, an ally of former Vice President Joe Biden in the Democratic race, told CNN’s Poppy Harlow in an interview.

RINO gun-grabbing Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) who is working with Coons also blasted the ridiculous man with the phony Hispanic nickname.

Beto O’Rourke’s “hell yes” moment at the Democrats’ presidential debate is scrambling his party’s message on guns.

The Democrats have long contended their support of gun control laws does not mean they want to take away law-abiding citizens’ firearms. But on Friday, they struggled to square that message with their presidential contender’s full-throated call on national TV for confiscating assault rifles.

“Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47, and we’re not going to allow it to be used against your fellow Americans anymore,” the former Texas congressman declared during Thursday night’s debate.

However, some fellow Democrats chastised him and fretted that his remarks may have made things harder for gun control supporters as they negotiate with President Donald Trump on legislation to respond to this summer’s mass shootings.

“I frankly think that that clip will be played for years at Second Amendment rallies with organizations that try to scare people by saying Democrats are coming for your guns,” Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware told CNN Friday. “I don’t think a majority of the Senate or the country is going to embrace mandatory buybacks. We need to focus on what we can get done.”

Beto then doubled-down during an appearance on MSNBC after the debate; making it clear that he is indeed calling for gun confiscation.

Such rhetoric only confirms what many have always suspected and that is that the left is coming for their guns.

First it will be AR-15 “buybacks” and red flag laws that shred due process but that is only the proverbial camel’s nose under the tent.

There is no way that socialism will be imposed on an armed populace and Democrats and the radicalized left understand that their dream of a totalitarian utopia with them in charge will never be realized until law-abiding Americans have been stripped of their rights and disarmed.

With much progress having been made with fearmongering over a spate of mass shootings to brainwash the populace into backing Draconian gun control measures, Beto may end up killing the goose that laid the golden egg with his fascistic histrionics.
