Matt Gaetz Exposes Al Sharpton’s Racist, Antisemitic, Homophobic Rhetoric; Quotes Joe Scarborough

Via Breitbart

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) exposed Al Sharpton’s history of racist and antisemitic rhetoric on Thursday — doing so, in part, by relying on past complaints by Sharpton’s MSNBC colleague, Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough.
As Breitbart News has documented, Sharpton has a long record of using racist and antisemitic rhetoric. Many Jews blamed him for exacerbating mob violence against the Jewish community in New York in the 1990s.

More recently, Sharpton led protests against the 2012 death of black teenager Travyon Martin, which he and fellow activists cast as racially motivated, marking the beginning of a decline in race relations that has lasted several years.

On Thursday, Sharpton appeared before a congressional hearing at the House Judiciary Committee on policing practices. During his turn to question the witnesses, Gaetz referred to a resolution, H.Con.Res. 270, which then-Rep. Scarborough introduced in 2000.

The resolution was called, “Condemning the racist and anti-Semitic views of the Reverend Al Sharpton.” Though it was never voted on, it contains a list of offensive statements and actions by Sharpton.

Ben Carson’s remarks during San Francisco visit spark backlash

Via The Hill

Ben Carson reportedly said “big, hairy men” were trying to enter homeless shelters for women while referring to transgender women..

Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson sparked backlash after he reportedly said “big, hairy men” were trying to enter homeless shelters for women during a meeting at the agency’s San Fransisco office.

Three people at the meeting told The Washington Post that they interpreted his remark to refer to transgender women. Two agency staff members told the newspaper that he also complained that society did not know the difference between men and women anymore.

The staff members told the Post that the comment upset many people present at the Tuesday HUD meeting and at least one woman left in protest.

A government official also told the newspaper that Carson has made fun of transgender people during meetings in Washington.

“His overall tone is dismissive and joking about these people,” the official said. “It’s disrespectful of the people we are trying to serve.”

“The Secretary does not use derogatory language to refer to transgendered individuals. Any reporting to the contrary is false,” a senior HUD official told the Post in a statement after being asked about Carson’s reported remarks.

The official, who was not in the meetings, told the newspaper that Carson was talking about men pretending to be women to get into battered women’s shelters rather than referring to transgender women as “big, hairy men.”

The Hill has reached out to HUD for comment.

One staffer who took notes during the meeting told The Post that Carson said “Transgender people should get the same rights as everyone else, but they don’t get to change things for everybody else.”

Buttigieg Hopes Discovery Of 2,246 Aborted Fetal Remains ‘Doesn’t Get Caught Up In Politics’

Via The Federalist

Nearly one week after Illinois officials seized the preserved remains of more than 2,000 aborted babies from the home of now-deceased abortionist Ulrich “George” Klopfer, South Bend, Indiana Mayor and presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg finally commented on the discovery.

“Like everyone, I find that news out of Illinois extremely disturbing, and I think it’s important that it be fully investigated,” Buttigieg said, before adding, “I also hope that it doesn’t get caught up in politics at a time when women need access to health care.”

Of course, Buttigieg hopes it “doesn’t get caught up in politics,” because he would be the one ensnared. After all, South Bend was the home of one of Klopfer’s three Indiana abortion facilities, the Women’s Pavilion, which Klopfer operated for some 40 years before losing his license to practice medicine. This places the horror of the discovery close to Buttigieg’s home.

Then there’s Buttigieg’s support for opening a new unlicensed abortion facility, Whole Woman’s Health, in this Midwestern town best known for hosting the University of Notre Dame. And Buttigieg didn’t merely champion Whole Women’s Health’s arrival, he also vetoed a city council rezoning decision in order to prevent a pregnancy and family resource center from opening next door to the abortion facility.

No wonder Buttigieg kept quiet for so long

AOC fighting to block massive ‘Walmart of Liquor’ from her Queens district

Via The New York Post

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is fighting to block a massive booze retail store that critics call the “Walmart of Liquor” from opening on her turf in College Point, Queens.

The firebrand freshman congresswoman, whose opposition helped scare Amazon away from opening a new campus headquarters in Long Island City, urged state Liquor Authority Chairman Vincent Bradley to deny Total Wine & More a license to open because its rock-bottom prices would undercut smaller neighborhood liquor merchants.

“My district enjoys many of the benefits of a vibrant small business economy: job creation for and by community members, socio-economic mobility for immigrants and new Americans, and long-lasting relationships between proprietors and their customers,” Ocasio-Cortez said in the Sept. 17 letter to Bradley obtained by The Post.

Idolatry: Climate Crazed Seminary Confesses Sins to Plants in ‘Beautiful Ritual’

Via PJ Media

On Tuesday, Union Theological Seminary hosted a chapel service in which self-identified Christians confessed their climate sins to plants. No, this is not satire from The Babylon Bee — this really happened, and the seminary is defending it without shame. The incident illustrates how dangerous climate change hysteria can become, and how important it is for Christians to actually read their Bibles and reject the syncretism of the world.

“In worship, our community confessed the harm we’ve done to plants, speaking directly in repentance. This is a beautiful ritual,” the seminary announced on Twitter. “We are in the throes of a climate emergency, a crisis created by humanity’s arrogance, our disregard for Creation. Far too often, we see the natural world only as resources to be extracted for our use, not divinely created in their own right—worthy of honor, thanks and care.”
