Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar claims that when President Trump directly quoted her, it was an act of violence that he put her life in jeopardy. Imagine if Trump tried to stoke up the outrage against her by fabricating a story that she had killed an infant. Obviously he wouldn’t do something that despicable, but she would. The Not-so-jolly Somali has accused the President of literally killing a 9-month-old baby boy in Texas. The biggest problem with her attempt to enrage the public against Trump is that the boy in question isn’t dead.
Here’s a truly pathetic Squad attack on the President:
A nine month old died as a direct result of Trump’s cuts to Medicaid and CHIP.
He is one of a million children to lose healthcare.

You got that? Omar says Trump took health care away from this boy and as a direct result, he died. It’s all Trump’s fault! Or is it?
Omar provided a link to a New York Times article that she clearly didn’t bother to read. First up, the baby didn’t die:
The baby’s lips were turning blue from lack of oxygen in the blood when his mother, Kristin Johnson, rushed him to an emergency room here last month.
Next, this baby wasn’t denied treatment at the hospital. He was given care despite not having health insurance:
Only after he was admitted to intensive care with a respiratory virus did Ms. Johnson learn that he had been dropped from Medicaid coverage.
Also, the baby wasn’t covered because the mom never signed him up. This was not due to any of President Trump’s policies:
Two of Elijah’s older siblings lost Medicaid coverage two years ago for reasons Ms. Johnson never understood, and she got so stymied trying to prove their eligibility that she gave up.
For Ms. Johnson, Elijah’s stay at Texas Children’s Hospital led to an appointment with an enrollment counselor who helped her try to figure out what had happened. Trying to re-enroll her older children earlier this year, she was asked for proof of income and missed the 10-day window to provide it; that may be why Texas dropped Elijah from Medicaid even though he qualified because he was a baby.
And finally, this baby, who is very much alive, is now covered because mom finally signed him up:
All of her children are now re-enrolled. But she has started receiving thousands of dollars in bills from the baby’s hospital stay — bills she is counting on Medicaid to cover retroactively. And she is haunted by what might have happened if the hospital where she took Elijah had considered the case nonurgent and turned them away.
There is absolutely no truth in Omar’s claim that Trump took away this baby’s health care and he died as a result. The fact that the article she cited proves her 100% wrong makes her both a liar and an idiot.
The only question here is: does this pathetic lie and smear campaign against President Trump count as an act of violence? It would if the roles were reversed, but Omar is a democratic Muslim woman of color, which quadruply protects her against any and all scrutiny. If the liberal media didn’t care about her anti-Semitic or anti-American statements, what are the chances they’ll even mention that she falsely accused President Trump of murdering a baby?
