Here’s a thing literally nobody is asking for. Ex-NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg appears to be on the verge of entering the presidential race. The anti-gun billionaire busybody is reportedly filing paperwork in Alabama to be included on the ballot for the state’s democratic primary, which is something one would do if they intended to run for president. Sure the 17 democrats currently running are all losers, but they all have more appeal than the guy who banned Big Gulps.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is strongly considering entering the race for the 2020 U.S. Democratic presidential nomination, a move that could greatly disrupt the field just three months before the first nominating contests.
Bloomberg, 77, is expected to file paperwork this week to run in the Democratic presidential primary in Alabama, which has an early deadline for qualifying for the ballot. That would keep his options open for a possible White House bid, a source familiar with his thinking told Reuters.
Apparently Bloomy is jumping in the race because the rest of the democratic party field is terrible, which is funny considering how terrible he is as well:
Bloomberg, the billionaire media mogul and philanthropist who served three terms as mayor of America’s largest city, is skeptical that any of the current crop of Democratic candidates can defeat Republican President Donald Trump in next year’s general election, a spokesman said.
“Mike is increasingly concerned that the current field of candidates is not well positioned to” beat Trump, Bloomberg spokesman Howard Wolfson said in a statement.
“If Mike runs, he would offer a new choice to Democrats built on a unique record running America’s biggest city, building a business from scratch and taking on some of America’s toughest challenges as a high-impact philanthropist,” said Wolfson.
Condemned prisoners often get to choose the method of their execution. Electric chair, lethal injection, and firing squad are all choices, but it doesn’t make them appealing.

“Mike would be able to take the fight to Trump and win,” said Wolfson.
How’s he going to beat Trump when he won’t even make a respectable showing in the democratic primary? Besides his anti-gun extremism, he’s actually a pretty moderate democrat, which is something that the whacko leftists of the new democratic party hate. Plus he’s a billionaire, which is something that the rabid leftists hate even more.
Him being a billionaire may actually be what is motivating Bloomberg to run and there’s a clue right here:
Bloomberg has been critical of Warren and her plan to institute a tax on the super-rich if she is elected president to fund programs ranging from universal healthcare to free college tuition.
He wants to make sure that a socialist doesn’t become president and take all of his wealth away. This is yet another thing that will turn off the the leftist kooks of the democratic party.
Bloomberg’s biggest problem however is that he has absolutely no personality. He’s stiff, uptight, condescending, and boring all at the same time. People want a candidate they could get a beer with but Michael Bloomberg is like the worst boss everyone has ever had. Zero charisma equals zero support and Bloomberg’s billions can’t change the formula.
