The first rule of Coup Club is don’t talk about Coup Club. House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff wants to make sure his joke impeachment hearings are one long punchline by banning Republicans from referring to the Whistleblower, the Bidens, or the entire country of Ukraine. Apparently the only thing permitted in these ridiculous hearings will be secondhand opinions that Schiff thinks implicate President Trump in a crime he can’t define. Interestingly enough the second rule of Coup Club is don’t make fun Schiff bug eyes.
As you may recall, an anonymous whistleblower heard from another anonymous person that President Trump threatened to withhold military aide to the Ukraine unless they investigated Joe Biden and his crack-head son Hunter. This is what the entire bogus impeachment inquiry that democrats are trying to perpetrate is all about. Public hearings begin on Wednesday and Little Pencil Neck Shifty Adam Schitt has some rules for the Minority Party (Republicans) just in case they try to uncover any truth:
As explained in my November 9, 2019, response to the Ranking Member, it is important to underscore that the House’s impeachment inquiry, and the Committee, will not serve as venues for any Member to further the same sham investigations into the Bidens or into debunked conspiracies about 2016 U.S. election interference that President Trump pressed Ukraine to undertake for his personal political benefit. Nor will the Committee facilitate any efforts by President Trump or his allies to threaten, intimidate, or retaliate against the whistleblower who courageously and lawfully raised concerns about the President’s conduct.
Sham investigation? Interesting choice of words for Schiff who went straight from his embarrassing sham Russian collusion investigation to this sham Ukraine quid pro quo investigation.
So in this investigation about the whistleblower, the Bidens, and Ukraine, Republicans are not allowed to talk about the whistleblower, the Bidens, or Ukraine. Sounds fair. Not!
So what happens if Republicans ask any questions relevant to the proceedings? Well, Schiff is probably going to bug his out out but he definitely will sick the Ethics Committee on ‘em:
The statutory framework also prevents obstruction of lawful communications by federal employees with Congress, and of congressional proceedings.17 And, as mentioned above, the Code of Official Conduct for Members of Congress requires that every Member “shall behave at all times in a manner that shall reflect creditably on the House.” The Committee on Ethics has historically viewed this provision as “encompassing violations of law and abuses of one’s official position.”
Keep in mind that this is Schiff and the democrats’ idea of making the impeachment inquiry “fair.” They started out doing hearings behind closed doors and wouldn’t allow Republicans to ask any questions of the witnesses. Now they’ve moved the hearings to public and will allow Republicans to ask questions as long as they are Schiff-approved questions. This is on top of Schiff already banning Republicans from calling any relevant witnesses to the proceedings.
Schiff really ought to look up what the words “sham” and “fair” mean. I think he’ll be very surprised.
The Republicans should completely ignore this nutless directive from Adam Schiff and talk about nothing but the whistleblower, Crazy Joe, Crackhead Hunter, and Ukraine. I don’t know about you, but I’d love to see Schiff’s bulbous head explode on live TV.
And while the Ethics Committee is sorting through the brain pulp and pencil shavings, maybe they can also look into Schiff’s role in coaching the whistleblower to file this fraudulent complaint in the first place. If not, I’m sure the Justice Department would be happy to.
