The only way this could have been funnier would have been if Chris Cuomo had any dignity to be stripped of. The laughingstock of joke network CNN thought he was going to slam dunk on President Trump for claiming bystanders can’t hear phone conversations that aren’t on speaker phone. Fake News Fredo called up his mom on the air to prove Trump wrong, only to prove Trump right as no one else could hear the conversation. Even Cuomo’s own colleagues laughed at his epic fail.
During today’s coup attempt hearings, democrats brought in David Holmes who claims he overheard a phone conversation between Trump and diplomat Gordon Sondland in which the President allegedly said he was pushing Ukraine to investigate the Bidens in exchange for military aide. This is preposterous for a lot of reasons and Trump pointed out a big flaw in the testimony:
I have been watching people making phone calls my entire life. My hearing is, and has been, great. Never have I been watching a person making a call, which was not on speakerphone, and been able to hear or understand a conversation. I’ve even tried, but to no avail. Try it live!

Because he really is Fake News Fredo, Cuomo thought he’d knock Trump down a few pegs by demonstrating how easy it is for others to hear a phone conversation. Cuomo sarcastically mocked President Trump’s assertion that he can’t hear other people’s phone conversations and then announced he was going to prove him wrong. Cuomo took out his phone and called up his mother.
Because we are in the absolute dumbest timeline, Chris Cuomo calls his mom on live TV to disprove Trump’s claim and demonstrate to viewers that bystanders can hear a caller on the other line…and we only hear his mother when he puts her on speaker. pic.twitter.com/Bif8QsmPHb

He then held the phone about 6 inches away from anchor Dana Bash’s face and instructed his mom to speak. No one could hear anything. Cuomo put his mom on speaker phone to see is she was still there because even he couldn’t hear her. After establishing that his mom was still on the phone, he turned the speaker off and instructed Bash to talk to his mother. Again, nothing. Nobody could hear her.
After an awkward silence, Cuomo tried to end his embarrassing experiment and move on, but his colleagues wouldn’t quite let it go.
“I can’t hear your mother, Chris. You’re over there … I’m sitting across the table,” said some other CNN stooge.
Despite proving President Trump right, Cuomo straight up lied to save face.
“It’s not on speaker phone. It’s on regular phone. It’s two feet away from Dana. She can hear my mother,” profiled Cuomo.
Watch the video. There is no evidence Dana Bash could hear Mama Cuomo, but there’s irrefutable proof that she couldn’t.
The panel then discussed how David Holmes testified that Ambassador Sondland was wearing an earpiece when he heard the conversation with President Trump, which makes his claim even harder to believe. Cuomo jumped in and blurted out that “an earpiece is a magnifier of sound.”
An earpiece magnifies the sound inside someone’s ear when they are wearing it, not to people across the room.
Cuomo tried again to cement his lie because liberals know if you say something enough times it becomes truth.
“This iPhone, without an earpiece, on regular phone mode, trying it live literally on live TV, Dana could hear my mother,” Cuomo said.
No she couldn’t. The video doesn’t lie even if people on CNN do.
