Bloomberg Announces Candidacy And His News Service Announces They Won’t Criticize Him

Billionaire busybody Michael Bloomberg officially announced his candidacy for president this weekend. In other announcements, Bloomberg News, owned entirely by Bloomberg, says it will not investigate or criticize him in any way. Even better, Bloomberg News will suspend all investigative reporting and criticism of the other democratic party candidates as well. Don’t worry, they will still stick it to President Trump because he’s a Republican. It’s not like these clowns at Bloomberg News are entirely abandoning journalism.

Following Michael Bloomberg’s announcement that he will waste lots of his own money on a losing presidential bid, Bloomberg News editor-in-chief John Micklethwait said he will do his part to make sure Bloomy doesn’t get any bad press:

“There is no point in trying to claim that covering this presidential campaign will be easy for a newsroom that has built up its reputation for independence in part by not writing about ourselves (and very rarely about our direct competitors). No previous presidential candidate has owned a journalistic organization of this size. We have electoral laws to follow — to do with both balance and opinion. We will certainly obey them, but I think we need to do more than just that,” wrote Micklethwait.

Oh yeah? Like what?

“We will continue our tradition of not investigating Mike (and his family and foundation) and we will extend the same policy to his rivals in the Democratic primaries,” Micklethwait wrote.

Wow, that’s some tradition, huh? I guess if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Interestingly enough, all other liberal media outlets also have a tradition of not reporting anything negative about democrats.

And speaking of liberal media traditions:

“For the moment, our P&I team will continue to investigate the Trump administration, as the government of the day,” continued Micklethwait.

I can only assume “P&I team” stands for “propaganda and insult” team.

Basically Bloomberg News has announced that it will continue to be an unreliable liberal news source by ignoring democratic party horribleness and attacking Trump with fake news. Was it really necessary to make this announcement? Everybody already knows what the liberal media is about.

While Bloomberg News is fully prepared to bury any negative stories about their leader, things could change in this unlikely scenario:

“If Mike is chosen as the Democratic presidential candidate (and Donald Trump emerges as the Republican one), we will reassess how we do that,” states Micklethwait.

I like how this editor makes it seem as if Michael Bloomberg has a shot at the democratic party nomination at the same time implying that Donald Trump might not be the Republican nominee. See, they already got the pro-Bloomberg propaganda machine cracked up.

Trump is already the GOP candidate and there is nothing short of an extinction-level meteor strike that will change that. On the flip side of things, it would also take trillion-to-one event to make Michael Bloomberg the democratic party candidate. He has no support among democratic voters and, despite his billions, will not be able to buy any. Nobody beside himself likes him and his pseudo-centrist views are the exact opposite of what whacko leftist democrats want to hear.

Yes, the democratic party is completely for sale, but it’ll be a lot harder for Bloomberg to buy votes in the primary. Fellow billionaire democratic candidate Tom Slyer tried and failed miserably. Both of these ultra-wealthy clowns will waste hundreds of millions of dollars on their vanity candidacies and won’t end up with 2 delegates to rub together when it’s all said and done.

But hey, great job from Bloomberg News for being the only liberal media outlet to admit they have zero journalistic integrity. You don’t hear CNN saying stuff like this.
