Laura Dern is a typical Hollywood liberal: she’s the daughter of famous people who got her a career, she thinks her opinion matters because she plays make-believe for a living, and she hates the idea that regular people have Constitutional rights. In an anti-gun rant with the LA Times, Dern said that kids should shut down all of the schools in this country until Congress severely restricts or removes altogether our right to keep and bear arms.
Dern sat down for interview with the LA Times and for some reason it was all about gun control. Dern got things rolling with this odd demand:
“But Everytown for Gun Safety is just … [it] should be a requirement of every citizen of this country [to know about],” said Dern.
So people should be forced to know about billionaire Micheal Bloomberg’s anti-gun group? Why? Dern can’t say, but she’s definitely into forcing people to do things she approves of.
“And then Saturday there was [a shooting] in Texas and was it Friday — or maybe it was Thursday — there was one in Santa Clarita. It’s a horror film … I mean my God, it’s so tragic. We have an anxiety epidemic among teens and children in this country. I visit my friends in New Zealand and their children are not afraid every morning when they go to school. This is insane,” Dern said.
Perhaps kids have anxiety because hysterical liberals like Dern keep scaring the crap out of them, making them think they will likely be shot to death at school. Speaking of kids, Dern has a “woke” one.
“Driving to school this morning, my daughter — she’s a young activist and works with Everytown and spoke at the March for Our Lives —she’s like, ‘How many marches are we going to have before there’s even one law changed?’” Dern claimed.
A better question would be: Why is Laura Dern forcing her daughter to be an activist instead of letting her be a kid?
And it wouldn’t be a liberal anti-gun rant without some lies:
“The fact that after [the Las] Vegas [shooting] they were talking about this bump stock ban, and we’re still just fighting over the same minutiae. That’s just tragic,” said Dern.
President Trump did ban bump stocks. You’re welcome.
Plus any good liberal gun control hysteria needs a ridiculous call to action:
“And honestly, I’m going to be a radical here and say [that], at some point, these kids are just going to have to say they’re not going to go to school because that’s what it’s coming to. Because when are we going to listen? When they just refuse [to go to school] and schools shut down and there’s no school until the gun laws change and they feel safe enough to be there … I think it’s going to be a revolution if we — the grown-ups — don’t do something,” Dern said.
Kids are dumb enough already, especially liberal ones, so not going to school is only going to compound that problem. Also, a small fringe group of woke children boycotting school is unlikely to move Congress to rip up the Constitution to placate their idiot freedom-hating parents.
