Vote On Dangerous Gun Grabbing Legislation Set To Be Scheduled

After a year that brought a colossal spike in crime as ANTIFA and BLM “activists” pillaged and burned major metropolitan cities across the United States, more Americans are seeking the means to defend themselves and their families than ever before. Gun sales skyrocketed throughout the beginning of this year – Newsmax reported an eighty-percent year-over-year increase with over 2 million firearms purchased in the month of January. Much to the chagrin of current and prospective gun owners, White House occupier Biden seeks to further disarm law-abiding citizens living under the tyranny of Leftist Mayors and Governors actively defunding local police precincts.

Reported by The Daily Wire:

The Biden administration is reportedly considering scheduling a “controversial” vote on a gun control bill in the next couple of weeks, news which comes as Biden demanded last month that Congress take action on cracking down on American’s Second Amendment rights.

Let’s break down some of the proposed legislation and the dangers surrounding the vicious assault on the Second Amendment.

House Resolution 8, also known as the “Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021,” seeks to follow the lead of Fascist hellholes such as California by criminalizing the private transfer of firearms. While current federal law already requires gun dealers to run background checks on all firearm purchasers, this legislation would subject law-abiding gun owners to criminal penalties for simply handing a firearm to another person.

To provide an example, let’s say your daughter is a survivor of sexual assault and lives alone on her college campus a thousand miles away. The simple act of empowering her to protect herself by loaning her your firearm for self-defense could bring you a year in prison and a $100,000 fine. The same principle applies to lending a rifle for the weekend to your life-long buddy who is hunting white-tailed deer.

There is no evidence that “universal” background checks would reduce gun violence or stop criminals from obtaining firearms. According to the Department of Justice, less than one percent of criminals in state and federal prison who possessed a firearm during their offense obtained the firearm from a dealer. In fact, the majority of these weapons were obtained through theft and the black market. Last time we checked, the black market does not impose vigorous background checks and 10-day firearms holding periods before the completion of a sale.

A second hot-button bill set to be voted on is House Resolution 1446 which has been dubbed the “Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2021.” This disastrous, extremist measure aims to allow the government’s failure to process a background check in a timely manner to delay the lawful purchase of a firearm for an indefinite amount of time. H.R. 1446 would do away with the 3-day proceed to sale provision. The current provision grants dealers the option to proceed with the sale or transfer of a firearm when the background check is not completed within 3 business days. This protects defenseless law-abiding Americans from having their purchased firearm withheld from them for weeks or even months when the background check is not completed within a reasonable timeframe.

The NRA took to twitter last week to speak out against the anti-gun agenda being brought to Congress:

It has already been made clear to the public that dazed, confused, basement-dwelling, geriatric Joe Biden and his handlers seek to lay siege to our 2A rights – even through executive order if necessary. As taxpayer money continues to be wasted on affirmative action “equity” projects while police departments are defunded by hundreds of millions of dollars, now is the time to arm and prepare yourself to be the last line of defense between the bad guys and the ones you love most.
