House democrats impeached (sort of) President Trump last week on the made-up crimes of “abuse of power” and “obstruction of Congress” but the real reason is they fear they can’t beat him in 2020. It’s been no secret that democrats know they don’t have a candidate who can win against Trump, which is why they started the sham impeachment against him in the first place. Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave her minions explicit instructions to keep this motivation on the down-low, but Maxine Waters is forgetful and accidentally blurted it out.
I don’t know about you, but when I read a Maxine Waters tweet or quote, I do it with her ridiculous voice in my head to make it funnier: pras-a-dant.

Waters is referring to a fake news piece in The Washington Post in which an anonymous source heard from guy who heard from his second cousin’s hairdresser that President Trump said Russian president Vladimir Putin told him that Ukraine and not Russia interfered in the 2016 election.
There’s a couple of interesting things in Waters’ otherwise insane tweet. The first is that it’s an acknowledgement that the entire impeachment scam was not about anything President Trump said on a phone call with Ukraine president Zelensky, but rather the completely debunked Russian collusion nonsense. Waters doesn’t say Trump must be removed from office for quid pro quo/extortion/bribery or the vague charges of abuse and obstruction. She says the President has to go because he’s “Putin’s puppet.” It was only a couple days ago, so Waters should remember that’s not what the House democrats impeached Trump for.
The second and more telling thing is that Waters is saying if Trump isn’t removed from office by the Senate, he will win reelection in 2020. And that is the real reason why democrats have been cooking up scheme after scheme to undo the results of a free and fair 2016 election. They can’t beat him fair and square, so they are going with dirty tricks instead.
Also, if there is such a sense of urgency to remove President Trump, why is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refusing to transmit the articles of impeachment to the Senate for a trail? Indications are that she intends to sit on the articles forever, which means there will never even be an opportunity for Senators to decide if the President should be removed from office.
Like all things democrats touch, they screwed this one up royally. Getting impeached by the House democrats has been great for President Trump’s reelection prospects. His approval rating has gone up and is higher than Barack Obama’s at the same point in his presidency. Trump is hauling in record fundraising because the people see that democrats are trying to nullify their votes. Trump should try to get the hapless democrats to impeach him ten times more so he can get a clean-sweep of the Electoral College in his reelection landslide victory.
Once again, Maxine Waters said the quiet part out loud. Impeachment was never about anything other than democrats trying to steal the White House without earning it. This desperate plea to resurrect the Russian collusion garbage is meant only to distract from the fact that democrats are terrible.
