Liberals everywhere are kicking holes in the drywall because there was almost a mass shooting in Texas, but two armed good guys took the shooter out. Not only can’t liberals exploit the shooting to promote their gun control agenda, their narrative that armed citizens can’t possibly protect the public took a major hit. Normal people are thankful that the loss of life was mitigated by heroic citizens, but liberals are pissed the body count wan’t higher because everyone on the left is horrible.
Fox News reports that a gunman opened fired in the West Freeway Church of Christ in the city of White Settlement, TX. Yes, this city is actually called White Settlement and it’s a suburb pf Fort Worth. And for what it’s worth, the city was named by Native Americans because it was a place where white settlers lived.
According to witnesses, the gunman, who hasn’t been identified, sat down with parishioners during Sunday service. At some point the gunman stood up and pulled out a shotgun, opening fire. Two church members were killed, but the carnage could have been much worse. There were two volunteer church members carrying firearms and acting as security for the church. The good guys with guns, and they could have been women, drew on the shooter and put him down like a rabid dog.
“The suspect was stopped thanks to the quick and heroic actions of those safety members inside the church,” said White Settlement Police Chief J.P. Bevering.
Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick had nothing but praise for the armed volunteer security team calling their heroism “unparalleled.”
“This team responded quickly and within six seconds, the shooting was over,” said Patrick.
Patrick also noted that the armed parishioners saved, “untold number of lives.”
Jeoff Williams, regional director with the Texas Department of Public Safety, also praised the quick actions of the armed volunteers.
“I would like to point out that we have a couple of heroic parishioners who stopped short of just anything that you can even imagine, saved countless lives, and our hearts are going out to them and their families as well,” said Williams.
So good guys with guns saved the day and stopped a potential mass shooting. I wonder if Moms Demand Action lunatic Shannon Watts has anything nice to say about the heroes. Nope, she only sees an opportunity to exploit the dead to promote her gun control agenda:

The CNN article that Watts linked to doesn’t say that the gunman was able to purchase a gun because of a lack of gun control laws. An FBI source simply stated that the shooter had been arrested multiple times. Either he was never convicted of a felony and wasn’t banned from owning firearms or he was a felon and got ahold of the shotgun illegally. Either way, there is no gun control law in existence or proposed that would have stopped him from breaking the law.
Watts went even further and slammed at least one of the armed parishioners who stopped the shooter in his tacks.

It’s unclear where Watts is getting her information from, but there is no report that one of the the armed church members was a criminal with an arrest record. There is plenty of evidence however that Shannon Watts is a genuine piece of shit.
Good guys with guns stopped a potential mass shooting, which completely contradicts the liberal narrative that citizens are powerless against crazed armed killers. In an emergency, cops are minutes away. People exercising their 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms are on the spot and can react instantly. Anyone who wants to disarm the people is on the side of the killers and facilitates the deaths of the innocent.
