‘Fat’ Jerry And ‘Shifty’ Schiff Top Democrats’ ‘Dream Team’ Of Impeachment Managers

The U.S. Men’s Basketball “Dream Team” of Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Michael Jordan brought home Olympic Gold in 1992. OJ Simpson’s legal “Dream Team” of Johnny Cochrane, Alan Dershowitz, and F. Lee Bailey got him acquitted of 2 murders he obviously committed. Democrats are hoping their own “Dream Team” will get President Trump removed form office but unfortunately they named Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff as impeachment managers for the Senate trail. This clown show might be a dream for the circus, but for an impeachment trail it’s a democratic party nightmare.

Fox News reports:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday announced the seven lawmakers who will serve as impeachment managers to prosecute the case against President Trump in his imminent Senate trial.

“This is about the Constitution of the United States,” Pelosi said, as she presented the Democrats’ legal team and noted that she put an emphasis on “litigators” in assembling them.

The managers include House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who will be the lead manager and who directed much of the impeachment inquiry out of his committee, and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., whose panel drafted the articles of impeachment.

Pelosi also tapped House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.; Rep. Jason Crow, D-Colo.; Val Demings, D-Fla.; Sylvia Garcia, D-Texas; and Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif.

While this list of managers is laughable, who else would they get? Are there any democrats with an once of integrity? Are there any democrats who aren’t a complete joke? Pelosi could have done worse by naming Maxine Waters and Al Green as managers, but there is no way she could have done better.

If this list of managers is a joke, and it is, then naming Adam Schiff as the lead is the punchline. As ABC points out, Schiff is going into the impeachment trail admitting that the House failed to make a compelling case for Trump’s removal:

Schiff was asked why the democrats didn’t pursue the witnesses that they are trying to force the Seante into calling. His answer was basically that the House didn’t have enough time to call the witnesses, which is another way of saying they didn’t do a thorough job in drafting the articles of impeachment against President Trump. It’s also an admission that the articles are baseless, since they didn’t get evidence they claim is crucial to proving Trump’s guilt.

Schiff heading the team is extra-funny because he could be the first impeachment manager in history to also be called as a witness. If Seante Majority Leader Mitch McConnell does allow witnesses, surely they will want to hear from the guy who orchestrated the coup attempt in the first place. Schiff coordinated the whistleblower complaint that led to the impeachment inquiry and if the goal is to get to the truth, the Senate will want to know all about Shifty Schiff’s dirty dealings.

Maybe Pelosi put Schiff in charge because she thinks there is some rule that keeps an impeachment manager from testifying in an impeachment trial. No such rule exists, but neither do any of the rules she and the House made up in conducting the impeachment inquiry. The bad news for Pelosi is now that things are in the hands of the Senate, she no longer gets to call the shots and invent rules out of thin air.

The best thing to come out of Pelosi naming Nadler and Schiff as managers is that we can now accurately say that Nancy is “shifting her nads” to the Senate.
