The democratic party held their Iowa caucuses Monday night and as of Tuesday afternoon they still don’t have any results. This fiasco is being blamed on a computer glitch, which is preposterous. These are the people who want to run the country. These are the people who want to be in charge of election security. These are the people who want to control and spend our money. If they can’t even pull of a simple state primary, that’s a pretty good indicator that they should never be in charge of anything.
Fox News reports:
The morning after a technical meltdown delayed the reporting of the Iowa caucus results – causing chaos in the political world — the Iowa Democratic Party blamed the debacle on a “coding issue” in its reporting app and pledged to release the caucus results starting late Tuesday afternoon.
The party — under the gun and facing the possibility that Iowa could lose its cherished half-century hold spot kicking off the presidential primary and caucus nominating calendar — stressed Tuesday morning that the debacle “did not impact the ability of precinct chairs to report data accurately.” They claimed to have now fixed the issue.
“We have every indication that our systems were secure and there was not a cybersecurity intrusion. In preparation for the caucuses, our systems were tested by independent cybersecurity consultants,” Iowa Democratic Party, or IDP, chairman Troy Price spotlighted in a long-awaited statement.
Hours after the presidential campaigns and reporters pleaded for information on the massive confusion, Price explained that “as precinct caucus results started coming in, the IDP ran them through an accuracy and quality check. It became clear that there were inconsistencies with the reports. The underlying cause of these inconsistencies was not immediately clear, and required investigation, which took time.”
Inconsistencies, eh? Like perhaps Joe Biden did very poorly and they are trying to figure out a way to change that?
Over the weekend the Des Moines Register and the DNC refused to release the results of the final Iowa caucus poll, also claiming inconsistencies. Those inconsistencies turned out to be the fact that Bernie Sanders had the lead and Joe Biden was a distant 4th.
Here’s some more fun facts: The app democrats are blaming for these inconsistencies in reporting the results was developed by a company called Shadow Inc. No, seriously. And this particular company is an off-shoot of a democratic party dark money super PAC run by a bunch of ex-Hillary Clinton campaign stooges. Even weirder, Pete Buttigieg’s campaign helped pay for this app.
BTW, Mayor Pete has declared victory in Iowa despite the lack of released results. Does he know something we don’t? Did he pay for a win?
Take your pick on the conspiracy theories behind this: Buttigieg paid for a win, HIllary’s people are trying to make Biden win, or the DNC is once again trying to rig things against Bernie Sanders. I guess it could be all of the above.
Just in case you may think something is up with the DNC rigging the results or just being dangerously incompetent, the left is already assigning blame elsewhere. Here’s Muslim comedian Dean Obeidallah dusting off the Russian interference thing:
REMINDER: Mueller report told us Russia interfered in our 2016 election in a “sweeping and systematic fashion.” Why? Simple, the “Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome.” #IowaCaucus #IowaCaucusDisaster pic.twitter.com/JIkTZZluV6

Seems like a good time to remind people that Trump and Mitch McConnell opposed measures to further secure our elections for 2020. #IowaCaucuses #IowaCaucusDisaster https://t.co/4bnAN7qjKE

Then there was democratic party candidate Andrew Yang blaming Trump:
It might be helpful to have a President and government that understand technology so this sort of thing doesn’t happen.

As was already pointed out, President Trump and the federal government had absolutely nothing to do with the Iowa caucus clusterf*ck. This is all the democrats.
The democrats want to be in charge of election security because it’s literally the only way they can win the White House. Iowa shows they shouldn’t be in charge of anything.
