In the Age of Trump democrats like to invite illegal aliens, terroists, trannies, and porn stars to be their guests at the State of the Union address. President Trump, on the other hand, is an adult and has extended an invitation to conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh who recently revealed he has advanced lung cancer. Trump also plans to award Limbaugh the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In addition, the President has invited some other true American heroes to his speech because, again, he’s not a big liberal baby who needs to make everything stupid.
Politico reports:
President Donald Trump plans to award the Presidential Medal of Freedom – the highest civilian award in the U.S. – to conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh after learning of his advanced cancer diagnosis, the president told television anchors at a private lunch.
Trump told network anchors earlier Tuesday that he was saddened by the news of Limbaugh’s diagnosis and had extended a last-minute invitation for him to join the first lady in the gallery at the State of the Union, according to four people familiar with the conversation. The president also said he could award the Medal of Freedom to Limbaugh as soon as next week, adding that his preference would be to do it during the State of the Union, according to two of the people familiar with his comments.
I know, it’s weird to see something reported by the liberal media that isn’t hysterically anti-Trump. Nowhere in this Politico report do they accuse the President of colluding with the Russians, of destroying democracy, or being a racist. I’m sure this reporter has been “reassigned.”
That’s a really nice story and so is the list of other guests President Trump has invited to tonight’s SOTU:
Janiyah Davis is a 4th grade student who loves art and math, but for too long she has been assigned to low-performing schools.
Pennsylvania’s governor recently vetoed school choice legislation, and Janiyah remains one of 50,000 students on a waitlist for tax credit scholarships. pic.twitter.com/rBM2XdXQOF

In related news, Trump announced his intention to award Limbaugh with the Medal of Freedom at the traditional pre-SOTU lunch in which the President breaks bread with TV network anchors. Guess who didn’t get invited? Here’s CNN’s Brian Stelter with the tears:
President Donald Trump’s targeting of CNN is moving to yet another arena: The annual presidential lunch with television network anchors.
CNN anchors are being excluded from Tuesday’s lunch, three sources said on Monday night.
Trump, like presidents before him, typically invites anchors from all the major networks to dine with him at the White House in advance of his State of the Union address. The lunch conversation is considered off the record, but it gives the anchors a sense of the president’s state of mind before they anchor SOTU coverage. “Despite Trump’s persistent attacks on the news media, he’s kept up such traditions,” Politico pointed out last year.
CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer attended last year’s lunch. Blitzer has been attending these lunches longer than almost any other anchor — 20 years in a row.
Somehow this gets funnier:
This is the first time in recent memory that a president has singled out one network and opted to not invite any anchors from there.
The president has directed his ire at CNN dozens of times over the past three years. He has declined all of CNN’s requests to sit down with him for an interview and has denigrated both the network as a whole and some of its individual journalists. His administration also suspended chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta’s press pass until a federal court ruled in CNN’s favor.
Oh, does CNN employ any journalists? I’ve never noticed.
This is CNN: “Trump is a dick who’s destroying democracy and is worse than Hitler.”
This is also CNN: “Trump is a dick for not inviting us to lunch.”
This real point to all of this is, on top of being one of the greatest Presidents this country has ever had, Donald J. Trump knows how to fill out a guest list.
