John Kerry Claims Real Hunters Don’t Use ‘An AR-16 With A Long Clip’

It’s been a crazy week with the democrat Iowa caucus cluster-fudge, Nancy Pelosi’s SOTU meltdown, and President Trump’s impeachment acquittal so it’s understandable that this flew under the radar. Earlier this week, while campaigning for Joe Biden in Iowa, former Secretary of State John Kerry said that no real hunter would use an “AR-16 with a long clip” to hunt anything. Technically he’s not wrong since real hunters don’t use things that don’t exist to hunt and yet literally he’s completely wrong.

On Monday, the day before Joe Biden finished a disappointing 4th place in the Iowa caucuses, John Kerry was campaigning for the former VP. In an effort to play up Biden’s gun control credentials, Kerry embarrassed himself worse than when he sent pallets of cash to Iran.

Kerry started by claiming that Biden had done things to the NRA in Delaware, which took courage because, “that’s a tough state.” Joe has never done anything to the NRA and Delaware is not a tough state by any metric, but this was clearly not a speech that was based in fact. Proof:

“I’m a hunter. I’m a gun owner. Been that all my life, but I got news for you,” said Kerry.

He should have thrown up an asterisk the this was fake new because…

“There’s not a veteran here who would take an AR-16 with a long clip to go out and shoot a deer or shoot anything,” stated Kerry.

Well sure, veterans, hunters or anyone who lives in reality would never shoot a deer or anything else with a gun that doesn’t exist, equipped with an accessory that doesn’t exist.

This is a true statement that is also simultaneously false. There’s no such thing as an “AR-16” as well as a “long clip.” When Kerry says no one would use this weapon to shoot anything he’s right.

He’s wrong at the same time because, in his ignorance, he meant an “AR-15” with a normal capacity magazine, which is something hunters use all the time to shoot things: feral hogs, varmints, targets, ISIS, etc…

For a guy that claims to be a life-long hunter and gun owner, he sure doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about.

But hey, when you’re full of shit, sometimes you need to purge yourself of feces. Kerry did just that as he kept going:

“Joe led the fight to get those things off the street and now we have a crowd who’s willing to bring them back,” Kerry said.

Let’s at least pretend that John Kerry think’s he’s actually talking about Ar-15s in that last statement. His claim is that Joe Biden lead the fight to get AR-15s off the streets and implies he was successful. Then he says that AR-15s have been banned right up until this very moment, but that there are people who are trying to get them unbanned.

Does the liberal media ever fact-check anything a democrats says? Joe Biden never lead the fight to ban AR-15s, never banned AR-15s, and AR-15’s are not currently banned. I know this because I have owned an AR-15 continuously since 1992. Granted, my AR is technically not “on the streets” but it has been legally in my possession for 28 years, including during the Clinton-era “assault weapons” ban that Joe Biden didn’t lead.

Kerry then finished with this ridiculous statement:

“We need a Joe Biden with the guts and the courage and the savvy to be able to do something about that’s reasonable about guns in our country,” said Kerry.

That’s an awkward sentence but…

Unconstitutionally banning an entire class of weapons is reasonable? Actually, f*ck it, ban AR-16s and long clips. I don’t care. Democrats can ban unicorns, time-traveling Deloreans, and anything else that doesn’t actually exist. If they ever come out of their fantasy world and try to ban real things that we have an inborn right to own, then we’ll have a problem.
