It unclear what Joe Biden is talking about, but presumably it involves gun control. He told CNN that he’s going to take “clips that have multiple bullets in them” off the market. The reason why I think this nonsense statement is gun related is because right before he said that, he bragged that he already got “assault weapons” off the streets. The cool thing about having dementia is that everything makes sense and is true to the one stuck in an alternate universe.
This clip (yeah, that’s the appropriate use of the word) is presumably from one of the many CNN town halls nobody watches.
Joe Biden ratcheted up the Democrat Party’s attacks on the Second Amendment:
Biden: ban “assault weapons” & “get those clips that have multiple bullets in them not for sale, not be able to sell silencers, all those things.”

Biden began with something that surely made sense in his head but came out wrong.
“I met with every family, virtually every family, up in Connecticut when those kids were just slaughtered in school,” said Biden.
I get that he’s talking about the Sandy Hook school shooting and he’s trying to say that he met with the victims families, but what he actually said was that the met with virtually every family in Connecticut. I’m guessing that’s not true.
There was more stuff that didn’t quite make sense when he tried to explain that he met with those insufferable anti-gun kids from Parkland, Florida.
“And also down in Florida when they came up to Washington…I met with them,” Biden said.
So he met them down in Florida but in Washington? Whatever. I know Joe has some serious geography issues but this was small potatoes compared to the zaniness he dropped next.
“I made a commitment that I’m gonna [do] everything in my power, in office or out of office, to get those assault weapons off the street, which I’ve done once already,” claimed Biden.
So he got those assault weapons off the street? Which street? Biden voted for the Clinton-era assault weapons ban, which doesn’t mean he actually made it happen, but there are more problems here. The AWB took exactly zero weapons off the street, or streets, it simply banned certain models of semi-automatic weapons. No guns were confiscated. No firearms were removed from private hands. And really, gun manufacturers simply slightly changed their designs and model names to get around the ban.
Also, if Biden has already gotten “assault weapons” off of that particular street, why does he need to do it again? Could it be he’s full of shit?
Probably, because here’s the other thing Biden made a commitment to do:
“And those clips that have multiple bullets in them not for sale,” said Biden.
Again, Biden is probably trying to say that he wants to ban normal-capacity magazines, but that ain’t what came out of his mouth. Just for fun, let’s pretend that a clip is a magazine, Biden is saying he would ban any magazine capable of holding multiple rounds. That means he’s calling for a ban on any magazine that can hold 2 rounds or more. If a magazine can only hold one round, there’s no point in having a magazine.
Also, the way Biden worded this is that when people buy these clips (magazines) they already have rounds in them. In reality, he’s calling for a ban on pre-loaded magazines that have 2 rounds or more. I don’t recall ever seeing pre-loaded magazines for sale at a gun store.
I’m never in favor of gun control, but if I had to pick one to live with, this would be it. I’m surprisingly cool with not being able to buy 2-round pre-loaded clips. By all means, ban something that doesn’t exist and leave the real things alone.
